Ah man, those must have been junk...yeah a ton of those games were made to be quick cash-ins. I didn't pay much attention to those games because of that.
Happy belated anniversary to your parents. Ah, that's too bad to hear - I heard a lot of people are liking XC3. I do have my eyes set on that game, at least. I have the demo for Live A Live, but I haven't played too much of it.
@MarioLover92 Many of them were gifts, not asked for. A couple were bought for cheap just as a "chance" though lol. Not with my money! It turns out that Chicken Run game has several playthroughs on YouTube, if you're interested:
On my parents' anniversary: Thanks! Pardon all the typos in the last post, that was all done via phone and for some reason autocorrect doesn't always take lol. XC3 will still (hopefully) be started this coming weekend. Live A Live will occur at a later date...probably on discount lol.
@TheJGG Welcome back to internet civilization! No clue why I didn't get a notification about you quoting me. /shrug Seems like you're getting in plenty of exercise along with all the globetrotting lol. I can relate on those temps and high humidity; some of the weather here has been pretty comparable lately.
Looking forward to more pictures when/if you decide to upload any! Architecture outside of what I'm used to fascinates me, which extends to that influenced by religions I'm not commonly exposed to. Taking shoes off indoors is just common sense to me for several reasons, so part of me dies inside when people tromp around with their cloghoppers on in certain settings.
Party time it is then! The game arrived safe and sound, no battle scars from shipping!
@Tyranexx That's understandable. I'm sure they meant well, especially if you're a fan of any particular show/movie/etc. I remember back in the PS2 and GameCube days, those cartoon licensed games were everywhere except for the kitchen sink. Ah I didn't know that. I remember hearing about Chicken Run, the movie, but I don't think I watched it.
Anytime, pal. You're good on the typos, no worries. I'm thinking of having XC3 as a Christmas gift, I definitely wanna play that at some point. Though...I think I'm gonna be busy with Mario Kart again since the next batch of courses came out. (I even ranked them in the MK8D thread.) Hopefully you'll be able to start XC3 soon!

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
Have a nice day. Voiceactor: The Pirates! (Sony/Aardman 2012) - The Passion: A Brickfilm (Neema 2019) - The Torchlighters: The Story of John Newton (Vision Video 2022) - [NEW] Minno's Laugh and Grow Bible (Minno - 2024)
@reporterdavid That's going to be a cool ride when it's done. I love theme park designs and the Mario Land was amazing (I have not been there yet... $$$). Can't wait for the Donkey Kong direct lol.
Seems the UK is heading for another heatwave next week. Had quite a streak online in MK8 Deluxe where snow tracks kept being picked and low temperatures + snow feels like a much more pleasant experience than yet another heatwave.
Busy past few days, so late to responses. Yesterday had to do an errand and spent a day at my friend's house. The day before I had to do some chores. Did squeeze in some time to try the new Mario Kart tracks. Kalimari Desert threw me for a loop, it changed. O.o
@Sunsy Hey been a while! Seems like you're enjoying that series RBWY. Awesome Tails Plush! I love it. And ha nice! Can't beat those steam sales sometimes. Epic Games store is pretty cool for letting you get free games weekly too though!
I am, I was over at my friend's yesterday watching it, we watched an anime movie together, Girls und Panzer das Finale 2. Thanks, it's a nice plush brought it to the Sonic movie. Yup, I always like seeing what goes on sale during the summer sale, just to get a few games on my wishlist. I think I have an account from the time I tried Fortnite, last time I used an Epic account was to play Dauntless a few years back.
@Sunsy Aaaaaand one day left! Actually, a few hours to go...assuming that the wave 2 tracks will be playable on midnight.
I never had Sega Smash Pack, but I did see a few videos of it. Yeah, I've heard the music and sound effects, and they sounded like they were from the NES. lol
Ah OK, I see. I wouldn't totally remember either. I actually do have a VCR of my own, but it's in storage now, and I'm too lazy to set it back up. Ah, gotcha. That sort of thing happens in stores, I think. Must not have been one of those DVDs that played the movie on repeat.
That's cool. I didn't play the SimCity games, but we used to play The Sims (the original one) a ton back in the early 2000s. I remember there was a cheat code you could do, so you'd get infinite money and buy whatever you'd like.
It's here!
Yeah, it was kind of a weird quirk the Dreamcast version had.
Cool you still have a VCR, I haven't had mine in years. The amusing part, my TV still lists "VCR" as an option for an input, depsite being a modern TV. Definitely not, Smurfs: The Lost Village usually just plays the movie, then a bonus feature and stays at the menu. I have the DVD, but it was amusing seeing all those TVs in Walmart stay stuck at the menu. Same happened with Frozen, even though that one can loop IIRC.
I remember the code to... typing the word "fund." I do remember doing it too much will cause a disaster to happen. Funnily enough I remember in the Mac version, it won't happen when playing the black and white version of the game, the one made for Macs without color. So I would intentionally switch the color to black and white just to use that code, lol.
Edit: Ok I misread the Sims, I was thinking of the old SimCity Classic code on Mac.
@TheJGG You're welcome, you do some great pictures of the scenery.
Note: repost because I was formatting responses to reply to everyone in one post and had it opened in a second tab, the original was deleted.
@Sunsy
I personally don't really like with Nintendo's decision to add another DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe after the game itself already have paid DLC from Wii U version. The timing for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to get DLC on this year was unnecessary in my opinion as it looks like Nintendo want to make peoples back to talk and play about Mario Kart 8 Deluxe after 5 years of release day.
I still haven't purchase the $25 DLC as I don't want to purchase something that not yet complete and I personally don't like live service update treatment after somebody reminded me from ACNH treatment with live service update. I still like with my Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but I rarely to touch the game after I got more new games to play. I have very low enthusiast to play kart racing games as my highest enthusiast is on life sim style games like The Sims, ACNH and also I still keep playing Youtubers Life 2 PS4 to continue my progress to become number 1 Youtuber to finish the storyline.
Also, if you saw some of my comments on other article about getting the PS4 / PS5 version of 3rd party multi console games instead of Switch version, there was a reason I decided to back to my PlayStation guy side.
I have experienced with some annoying downgrade from 3rd party games on Switch version, compared with PS4 version and it made me to consider the PlayStation version for 3rd party multi console games for better performance, except for Final Fantasy games on PS4 (FF X/X-2, FF XII TZA, World of Final Fantasy, FF VIII, FF IX) that I prefer the Switch version as they have faster loading and saving time and don't take a lot of GB space. At this point, I don't really value the portability as stable performance is more important than portability + my other games collection also not a handheld games (PS1, PS2, PS3, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, etc).
I will be not happy to get 30 fps or unstable fps for Switch version with some downgrade graphics than having proper performance on at least PlayStation version with 60 fps as possible.
Also, this treatment have some benefits to make my Switch games quantity and my PS4 + PS5 games library stay balanced.
Oh, I got Kirby Star Allies since last Sunday.
It was my first time playing Kirby games, never before I have some interest with Kirby games until the last time I checked Kirby Star Allies stocks from online shopping website, only a few sellers who still have that game on their shop. So far, Kirby Star Allies was pretty easy but I didn't feel really excited with the game. It was okay game but I wasn't crazy with Kirby design and the gameplay model as i have low engagement level in 2D platformer games than my engagement level in life sim games.
@Anti-Matter Have to disagree there, Booster Course Pass is very much the traditional DLC route like the original DLC for MK8 just that there's more content this time. The silence between waves is really annoying though that's more a problem with Nintendo's communication in general about games recently (i.e. there was no general Direct in June). If Nintendo had their normal general Direct schedule, the announcement for the 6 waves would be:
Wave 1 - February 2022 Direct
Wave 2 - June 2022 Direct
Wave 3 - September 2022 Direct
Wave 4 - February 2023 Direct
Wave 5 - June 2023 Direct
Wave 6 - September 2023 Direct
That's why people end up so desperate for general Directs. Guaranteed news on upcoming known stuff mixed in with a load of surprises, all while being able to experience the excitement with others. Without them you get this randomly announcing news dripfeed setup where for example Splatoon 3 is just over a month away and we still know very little about it.
