I play lots of Nintendo games, and Playstation games too. Mostly platformers, and rpg's. Also love playing multiplayer games with my friends!

@TheJGG Sounds like you might've overexerted your legs a bit. A few more days/weeks of that, and you'll be hiking and clambering up mountains like a champ! I can relate on overexertion lol. Walking is SO not fun when you've given your legs a well deserved rest....Love the photos. Scenery is always amazing from the air, and the Buddhist (feel free to correct me if I have the wrong religion) temple or shrine is breathtaking.
On XC3: Eh, what's a few days? It'll get played when it gets played lol. I just wish the timing was better; i had a TON of time last weekend, but this weekend and most of the following week are pretty booked IRL.
@Maxenmus I did see you started a Digimon Survive thread in the Switch forum. I'm mostly staying out of it in fear of spoilers however. I was very into Digimon back in the day. Never quite as much as Pokemon, but they were close in my book. I watched until the end of season 4 (Frontier), then missed Savers since the airing rights went to a TV channel I had no access to at the time. Then I watched parts of Fusion both subbed and dubbed and...didn't care for it very much. I missed Digivolution (though they did add it in later) and didn't care for the fusion/Voltron approach. I also had some of the cards at one point, still own a few toys (in storage), and have played a couple of the DS Digimon World JRPG entries.
@Anti-Matter Heh, what can we say? People change lol. I was never into Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana, but plenty of people apparently like her music. My sister had the Hannah Montana game on Wii, and it was...meh. She mainly played it for the shopping part, which wasn't bad, but the motion controlled musical bits... ugh. The game didn't register your movements correctly and was just frustrating in general. You'd have better luck playing a Just Dance title. The game was an excellent example of licensed shovelware.
@Eel I have a question (I'm fine with whatever answer you give me) how does one become a mod on forums and wiki's? info like that on the internet is scarce. I'm just wondering, it's a thought I've had for months, I just thought I'd ask a real mod about it.
When I joined the mod team here, they were looking for people interested in joining, and I simply asked if I could.
I don’t think they’ll ever add more mods like that though. NL has been evolving and becoming an actual company, so they probably can’t just go and give random people authority anymore… Do keep in mind that that’s just my opinion though.
@Eel I'd like to add context to me asking that out of the blue. I have had a ""fantasy"" of becoming a mod on a forum for a while and I finally decided to ask someone about it and I thought I'd ask you since you are a mod on this site. Before I asked I googled around to see what it was like to apply to become a mod on a forum or wiki, after my search was somewhat fruitless I asked you. After you gave me your answer (thank you) I realised that I probably will never be a mod, and I'm fine with that. I'm happy being a user here with all the lovely folks on here.
I'm mostly staying out of it in fear of spoilers however.
Good on you! Yes, do try to avoid spoilers because this game is definitely best experienced without spoilers. I will say that everything I post in the thread are largely spoiler-free, but your decision of going in with as little knowledge of what the game is about as possible is also a good idea too IMO.
Just be aware that this 'game' is largely a visual novel first with very light tactical RPG gameplay, so adjust your expectations accordingly.

That's pretty much almost similar to my experience. I was definitely more into Digimon than Pokémon, but I did have my share of Pokémon fandom, especially in terms of the games since I've never played a Digimon video game (unless you count the Digimon virtual pet toys) until about a decade ago with the first Digimon World on the Playstation, when I finally got curious what the game was like. I never got into the cards, merely into Pokémon cards. As a huge Digimon fan, I would've loved to gotten into the TCG, but it's hard to do that around Singapore since all the kids were into Pokémon cards back in the day. Literally no one would play Digimon cards with you around here.
I stopped watching the anime after Digimon Savers. It's a shame you didn't get to catch it since I thought it was an improvement after Digimon Frontier (which felt like a rehash of Digimon Adventure). They went to a more mature cop drama route, with the main protagonist literally punching all the enemy Digimon with his fists... Yeah, that was memed a lot back in the day. lol
I was never into Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana, but plenty of people apparently like her music.
I liked her music too for a little while in my teens even though I'm a guy. Her songs were fun and energetic. But it was around this time that I started to grow out of Disney Channel and moved on to anime. I still love one of Miley's songs today though: The Climb. That song always picks me up when I'm in a bad place, encouraging you to keep climbing past whatever obstacles you face because...
"There's always gonna be another mountain I'm always gonna wanna make it move Always gonna be an uphill battle Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose"
@Maxenmus
Well, I was a Monster Rancher fan back during PS1 & PS2 era. I played Monster Rancher 2 PS1 & Monster Rancher 4 PS2 when I was teen. I have ever watched Monster Farm anime back during early 2000.
I remembered my favorite monster from Monster Rancher 2 was Gali (Sun mask ghost with majestic cloak) and their fusion.
Not a fan of Digimon franchise as it looks too edgy for me.
I knew about Pokemon franchise since when I was teen but didn't really show some strong interest at that moment.
My first time playing Pokemon games from Pokemon X 3DS in year 2013 after I felt curious to see some kids I found played Pokemon X/Y on 3DS during that era.
But I have more hype from Yokai Watch games on 3DS than Pokemon games as I started to play Yokai Watch games on 3DS in year 2021. Yokai Watch 3 3DS was my favorite Yokai Watch games despite I played the Japanese version (Tempura version).
About Miley Cyrus, she was so fabulous when she was teen from Hannah Montana franchise and I played Hannah Montana games on PS3, PSP and NDS despite I already know their games are mediocre.
Too bad, she changed too drastically when she grow up.
@Anti-Matter I wouldn't call Digimon "edgy," more like they're targeting more mature audiences. There's a difference between mature and edgy; edgy is a juvenile story trying too hard to act mature by adding dark and violent elements for no reason at all; Digimon's mature themes have a point to them.
It's like saying Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon are edgy just because they're darker. In fact, I heard a lot of people called Pokémon: Origins edgy too, even though that's not really true.
Also, can I just say how much I hate the word, "edgy?" It just triggers me whenever someone uses it to describe something I love (or even using it to describe me). The word itself has its uses and function, but more often than not, it's thrown around by people who dismiss other people's fandom because they think that the "darker" aesthetics and themes are ridiculous. I like dark and tragic stories, and I think they have their place in this world. Shakespeare loves telling tragic stories: Macbeth, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet. Those stories aren't "edgy" just because the main characters went through such tragedies and melancholy, so I don't see why dark anime shows should be dismissed as "pointlessly edgy" just because they happen to tap on the more unexplored bestial nature hidden deep within the human psyche.
@Maxenmus What does it mean when someone is edgy? nervous and anxious If someone is edgy, they are nervous and anxious, and seem likely to lose control of themselves.
@Kermit1 Yeah, but more often than not, on the Internet, it's just used to insult people, so please kindly don't use it on me. Thanks.
Also, I'm just saying, but there's nothing inherently wrong with being nervous and anxious too, as long as you don't harm people. Everyone gets scared sometimes, and some people grew up with a rougher childhood and end up more anxious of social interactions and people in general.
@Maxenmus
In contrary, I hate the dark and mature themed stuffs, even I am a 37 years old adult people.
I knew my body didn't resonate to Digimon franchise since I knew the fact it has some mature themes.
I like colorful and cute cartoonish stuffs since I got those hype from Wii and NDS era.
Btw, what do you think about Yokai Watch franchise?
For what it's worth, the Digimon anime got a lot lighter in later seasons after season 5, Digimon Savers. Like, a lot lighter, so much so that I got bored immediately and stopped watching ever since.
I've seen Yokai Watch advertisements here and there, but I never really got into it unfortunately.
@Snatcher It's alright if you don't have tips, I'm playing Enemy Unknown with the Enemy Within DLC (by surprise, my friend who told me about XCOM gifted me the DLC on Steam).
@Anti-Matter not all people like dark and mature stuff, and not everyone likes happy and light stuff.
I'm like a mix of both. I have my love for stuff like Sonic and Mario, Trolls and Smurfs, and enjoy family friendly animated movies, but I also enjoy playing stuff like Apex and Paladins, and Sci-Fi stuff like Guardians of the Galaxy.
Will admit, horror isn't my thing, though I do like the occasional zombie game like Left 4 Dead or House of the Dead. There is Doki Doki Literature Club, but that's more of the exception. I played the original on PC years ago.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@Kermit1 I would even say just because someone plays one dark game plays M games doesn’t mean they like all they have content wise, sure some don’t care, but people have limits, and just they don’t usually try to force those limits on other people.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

Good morning.
I forgot to upload if I got these Switch games yesterday. 🙂
My Switch games is already 48 games and my two boxes of Switch cartridge case are already full. Time to get another HORI Switch card case 24 again.
First time playing Kirby game from Star Allies. My first impression, the game was pretty easy but didn't really drive me excited. Also, I tend to take some break when playing Kirby game as I felt easily to get bored to play 2D platformer in long time.
For Paper Mario Origami King, I think it was pretty different Paper Mario games that I have ever played on 3DS and Wii U. I felt granted to able obtaining three Paper Mario games on 3DS, Wii U and Switch as to see I will never able to get TTYD due to really inflated price, to judge the worthiness of getting inflated price game and my motivation in playing that game, I can say i still have pretty low motivation to continue Paper Mario games. Only Sticker Star on 3DS I have finished quickly in year 2014, my Color Splash Wii U still haven't finished yet since I bought the game in year 2016. Cannot imagine if I rarely play TTYD after purchased with very inflated price, it was like a wasted purchase.
Then finally I bought Snack World by Level-5. Basically the gameplay concept have similarity with Fantasy Life so I could engage the game quickly. I found a lot of crazy ideas from Snack World, even "Snack" word itself was not kind of food, it was the recruitable characters like Yokai Watch games. Too bad, my gameplay experience got disturbed by Joy Cons drifting issue as the right analog button of my Joy Cons tend to move by itself and it was pretty annoying to see camera angle rotation keep spinning.
Late reply, my apologies. Only three days left until wave 2 hits!
@Sunsy That's cool. Sounds like you played the Sonic games quite a bit longer than I have, I first played Sonic 1 and 2 back in 2001, I believe. I was 9 at the time.
Nice, that's cool that Disney had that feature for their DVDs/blu-rays. That reminds me, weren't there VCRs that would automatically rewind the tapes to the beginning when they reach the end, and then they would play the whole thing once more? I may have come across one at some point.
Ah really, that sounds neat at least. Did your Mac let you edit those documents, or did you need to be on Windows for that?
@Tyranexx Gotcha. I didn't play too much licensed games myself, but yeah, quite a few of them aren't super great, to put it lightly, lol. One that I did play was a Dragon Ball Z game for the GBA (IIRC, it was called Supersonic Warriors), and it wasn't too bad for a fighting game. As I recall anyway. I heard awesome things about TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, that's one game I wanna try to get.
That's cool. I think I'll hop back to Mario Kart when the wave 2 courses come out, I might be kind of busy this week. I'll be sure to let you and the others know on Discord when I play, just in case anyone's free.
@TheJGG Great pics once again, and I do love a good aerial view...even though I'm not super into plane trips! lol
@Maxenmus Don't worry; I realize it's first and foremost a VN, which I don't have any issue with.
The cards never really took off in my area either. I never really played the TCG; I just collected them lol. I did have a couple of Digimon virtual pets back in the day, though I never had any access to an Xbox and couldn't play those Digimon games (Also called Digimon World, though they aren't RPGs). As for the anime, I liked Frontier but do agree it was a step down from previous seasons. Tamers/Season 3 is by far my favorite.
On Miley Cyrus: I admit she does have talent, her music just never really caught on with me lol. I didn't have regular access to the Disney Channel, so I never got too roped into their teen shows.
@MarioLover92 Heh, not all licensed games are bad by any means, but some are clearly developed as cashgrabs. My sister also had a Biggest Loser type of game, and it tried way too hard to be a health game lol. Another bad one was a GBC game modeled off of the Chicken Run movie. THAT was horrible. Terrible AI, annoying, frustrating....I think I actually beat it at one point though....
I'm pretty busy this week IRL, today is my parents' anniversary in fact. We're heading back from eating out now. I won't have time for XC3 until probably this weekend. I wish it and Live A Live had switched release dates lol. I had almost nothing going on that weekend.
