@Tyranexx Apologies for the late reply, I'm doing all right. How was Brilliant Diamond? I've played Pokemon Snap on the N64 way back when, though I don't have it anymore, unfortunately. I kinda miss playing it!

Oh man, that blows...I hate having to restart like that! I remember fighting that world 2 boss in SS, and apparently I couldn't find that thing card or something (can't remember since I last played in 2013), and I only beat it with those spring boots stickers. That was tedious and punishing as heck...this, my friend, is how not to do game design.

I was dabbling in Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle again for that Game Trial recently (I already have the game so I basically just got a free 100 Platinum Points) and it made me remember something I wanted to try and do a while back but never got around to it: a no-shooting playthrough. It would be an interesting challenge to undertake since there are a lot of characters who get very interesting with that kind of restriction. For example, Rabbid Luigi has the best dash in the game so he'd obviously be great in a challenge like this. However, under these restrictions, he'd be completely locked out of a main and sub weapon, only having his dash and status effects to rely on, becoming a character with the highest of highs but also the highest of risks. My only concern would be the final world because that area is hard enough with guns, let alone without them but I suppose that's something we'd have to experience for ourselves. Now, saying that, I have been pipped to the post by a Youtuber (as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kD0qMOaLVo) so I wouldn't really record it or anything (I don't even have a capture card) but I think it'd be a great way to revisit one of my very first Switch games in preparation for Sparks of Hope's release.

My computer did a ""blue screen"" then restarted 8mins ago, I'm freaking out. It's working like normal but it jumped scared me, all I was doing was listening to YouTube and looking at DS stuff (not roms) and boom my audio went fuzzy and pop a ""blue screen"" appeared and my PC restarted. I shut it down after that to refresh everything.

I looked up why it could have happened and I think it's just a Windows 10 thing???

are there any PC people in the house that can help me?

edit I'm typing this all on that PC

@TheJGG Alrighty, hope you can do a good write up on it when the time comes. I still want to see Kiki's Delivery Service, but yeah, I first saw Ponyo last year when my friend showed it to me.

@Kermit1 sometimes these just happen. Don’t worry, as long as it doesn’t keep happening, it should be fine.

However if it does keep happening, make note of what actions you were doing at the time, and maybe you’ll find a reason.

@Eel I looked on a Windows forum and one dude said it was to do with a recent update messing stuff up.

Windows 10 is annoying yet I live with it.

In other words a glitch

It's not common, but Windows 10 can just randomly blue screen on you even on regularly maintained PCs. It's only an issue if it keeps coming up.

To add to this, my computer gave me a blue screen a few weeks ago, and I take very good care of it. It's free from viruses and malware.

It happens @Kermit1, don't worry too much about it. As long as you don't go to malicious websites or have viruses or spyware, you should be ok. These things happen sometimes.

@Link-Hero My PC I keep very safe, I got Norton and the best ADblocker on Chrome.

@Rambler I didn't react quick enough to right down the code displayed on screen.

@Sunsy I'm glad to know it's not just me that got one, I got legit scared since my PC cost my parents tons of money.

edit my PC was a birthday gift and I don't share it with anyone so any problems that happen are probably me or Windows 10.

I've been rewatching a lot of Yu Gi Oh recently in memory of Kazuki Takahashi and I came across a tweet (that I unfortunately can't find again) that was asking what everyone's favourite card artwork from YGO was. It reminded me of a certain card who's artwork I instantly fell in love with: Eater of Millions.

I don't really know why I like it so much, it just really appeals to me for some reason.

Also, massive shoutout to Danger? Tsuchinoko? as well for being probably the cutest card they've ever made (besides Kuribo obviously).

@Fizza Yu gi oh card designs are awesome.

My favorite are any of the toonworld cards, I just think a lot of them look sick, oh and can’t go wrong with any of the dark magicians.

Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

@Snatcher I always found it hilarious that Pegasus was the main user of them in the anime. Like, would you really expect THIS character......

Pegasus was a man who owned a private island where he held death games for unsupervised children.

I’d say his deck using childish cards wasn’t that unusual.

He’s almost Michael Jackson.

@Kermit1 It will sometimes just happen. Just be glad you're not using something like Windows ME. Man, back in the day, you couldn't go a week without the blue screen appearing with that OS, lol.

@Kermit1 Ah, so it was after Trap Team that the series nosedived. Too, I think some of it was because the toys to life concept became pretty saturated at that point with some forms of amiibo, LEGO Dimensions, etc.

As for your computer issue...Blue screens can be alarming but usually aren't an issue unless they're happening frequently or due to a specific string of actions. This can even happen to well maintained PCs. It's often due to a hardware or software failure. Next time it happens, take note of the error info. It usually doesn't tell you a lot if it's a generic error, but more specific errors can help with troubleshooting.

@MarioLover92 No prob, busy weekend for me too lol. I liked Brilliant Diamond, though once the rose-tinted glasses came off I do agree that the D/P remakes played things too safe. They were faithful, but too much so. All of the previous remakes baked in more excellent QoL improvements and content. The remakes are good, just not very worth it outside of nostalgia and a modern coat of paint...if one played the originals. I really liked Pokemon Snap! Despite the N64 graphics - which are by no means bad - the game has aged fairly well for the most part.

I didn't describe that encounter where most of my cards were stolen, by the way. A few cards remained, but they couldn't do any meaningful damage to the opponent since it was floating. Hence...I lost all of my cards. Needless to say I was steamed. There are experience points in the game, but past a certain point they have no meaning.

@Tyranexx I've had my computer crash before (black screen), it's just the blue screen jump scared me and made me worry for a second. Next time it happens I will try to write down the error code.

@Kermit1 Yeah. Now that I think about it, given how rarely they happen, blue screens can be a bit of a jump scare now, lol. When it happened on my PC, I jumped not expecting it.

It's also a good thing they don't happen much. Imagine playing a PC game, and the blue screen pops up mid-final boss battle. Not the final boss, the second final boss, that comes back more powerful.

@Sunsy but what if thats one of the boss phases... insta-kill by blue screen
