@Kermit1 Yep, I don't expect the set to get cheaper either. Most sets hold their value well. I had no issues buying the Mario ? Block, but it was a full $100 cheaper and uses slightly less custom pieces...and contains less bricks in general. I'd like more Mario sets than that one, but I'm not too fond of the form factors used for Mario, Luigi, and Peach in the starter sets.
@Sunsy lol, I use an Ad-blocker so I have no clue if there are any Trolls ads. But I did just see a recommendation on Amazon for a Trolls World Tour DVD then saw this post. Cookies gotta love em.
If Bill C-11 gets past Canada's YouTube will be messed up.
@Kermit1 I keep ads on on sites I use regularly, like this one. I mostly use an ad blocker just in event of something malicious while looking up something. Funny how it works out that way.
BTW, the ad had the song Right Where I Belong if you're curious.

@Eel It's OK. I don't need any Instagram giveaways. lol
@Sunsy Yeah I saw your post! Glad you had a great time!
@Tyranexx Undertale definitely reminds me of Mother/EarthBound as well, in terms of its visuals, story, and gameplay. Just in an 8-bit style. Gotcha, yeah I do remember the Let's Go games lets you battle other trainers. Maybe I'll get it if I catch it on sale, same thing with Sword/Shield. I definitely wanna get Arceus. Have you played New Pokemon Snap? I played the N64 original long ago and I do remember liking it.
Ah, I see. That's the one thing I despised about Sticker Star, the battle system where you only have a finite amount of stickers. Yeah, I'd probably enjoy Color Splash more if I get as much cards as I could, and not battle as much. That part where they take away your paint progress doesn't sound like a fun time, either.
@NeonPizza Yeah...I've seen those kind of posts before as well. I also remember when people would say "sub 4 sub?" and "first comment!" in the comment section. I don't think people do that "sub 4 sub" thing anymore, to my knowledge anyway. But I wouldn't be surprised if there's still people out there just trying to leave that first comment, just for the sake of leaving said first comment.
Thank goodness the Nintendo Life community's pretty much made things easier to have decent discussions about games and stuff, at least with most others in these very boards. I'm too old for having petty arguments anyway...and I just turned 30 last January!

There's so many kids, teeny boppers and younger 20-something year olds leaving the most cringiest attention seaking comments in that cess pool, just to win 'likes' and get that crappy self gradifaction. They'll post a picture of themselves all glammed up for their avy, and usually wind up leaving some try hard profound comment in order to garner attention. It's kind of gross. It's meme central down in YouTube's underbelly if you wind up in the wrong place.
[...] If anything, the internet and ability to remain anonymous with forums & social media has revealed just how crappy people can truly be and what they really think, there are exceptions obviously, but man is it disappointing. Nobody is perfect, obviously, we're all flawed but to see the amount crap thrown at one another is just sad. Because you know good and well that 99 percent of those people wouldn't have the balls to say that bs to each other if they were actually pitted face to face. They'd be all smiles lol
That's my biggest issue with social media and something I avoid at all costs. Whenever I post something I like to think it's something that's appeared in my brain at some point. Meaning it's me thinking for myself instead of being a "sheep". I'd say I value good replies over likes, even ones that disagree with me. It's easier to find clear voices in forums though, which kinds ties in with your comment on "our" two-facedness. One on one dialogues eliminate that problem.
But there's people out there that use social media for good. Promoting positivity, sharing facts, raising awareness about certain issues, and calling out hypocrisy when it's deserved. It's also great for news (from trusted sources of course) since you can follow things nearly in real time.
Phew. I dusted and tried out the old PS3. It seems to work just fine.
Unfortunately the only controller I was able to find is the move wand thingy, and it seems the battery is dead, but it works connected to a source of power. So there you have me, updating passwords and wifi networks with that thing tethered to a charger.
I then found out my 8bitdo controller works… But the ps3 seems to be having a really hard time recognizing them after a bit of them being disconnected, so a wired connection is more stable. Of course though, they don’t have a PS button, so I can’t exit software unless I have the wand nearby. So it’s like a fun little spiderweb of cables.
I’ll probably just put it in a nicer storage place instead of leaving it plugged in long term though, since I don’t have a lot to do with it.
@NeonPizza
I sometimes react to YouTube videos and I've got to say I get more and better responses there than on Twitter for instance. There's also this daily live show about movies called The John Campea Show I watch almost daily and I always participate in its live chat. It has a great and respectful community and I love being there.
That being said, It's only the smaller YouTube channels that give me this kind of respect, not the big ones, I stay away from those. Seems like once a YT channel gets big enough, it attracts a lot of trolls and jerks.
@Anti-Matter nope. The only Move game I have is that weird Harry Potter one that uses a book. And the book belongs to the house now (by that I meant I don’t know where it is) so theres no playing that.
RIP to Shinzo Abe and James Caan. One was a leader who managed the 2011 Japan economic crisis and served the country longer than anyone else, and the other was a truly fine actor who appeared in dozens and dozens of films.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is kind of cool. Might consider buying it's so cheap during the trial too. Normally I want physical for a Mario game, but I can always go for that when the sequel comes out. I'm really liking this so far.
