@Anti-Matter Hey there! I'd recommend creating a dedicated Epic Chef thread where you can post your updates & discuss the game more in depth with the community š
@DreamlandGem
Done. š
I have created Epic Chef thread.
But it seems majority users here don't even care with not so popular games like this.
Epic Chef was a hidden gems if you like games with calculating numbers to win the Cooking battle.
Watching F1 in a European time zone, when F1 is in America... my goodness I have so much respect for American fans who have to watch all the European races at ungodly hours. Operating on five hours of sleep at a basic level is... relatively tough. Especially doing it two days in a row.
Onwards and upwards, IndyCar's back this week too, so I'll have to do the same hours on Saturday for the GMR Grand Prix at Indianapolis.
@TheJGG Yeah, in the eastern US, live F1 races air around 5-7am, sometimes earlier. So, it was nice when the Miami FL race was 3:30 local time. I still haven't watched the race. Since I'm a low attention span kind of guy, I'll probaby watch the start, fast forward to the watch the end.
edit: Oh, weird, that Indy GMR race is on a saturaday, not sunday. That is odd.
@WoomyNNYes I tend to do that with practice sessions. I'll get my Switch and play a low effort game so I can keep track of the action and play at the same time. The race, though, mostly gets my undivided attention. Some races may get a little dull in the middle but in racing anything can happen. Mostly that strategy pays off.
And yeah, the IndyCar GMR Grand Prix's on a Saturday. It's May, meaning the Indy 500's very close, so I imagine teams will want to focus on that as soon as they finish racing on the road course. It's a very F1-esque track though, so it could be a good bit of racing. It was last year, Grosjean was on fire in both races.
So... don't know if you may talk about the Oekraine subject here. people thought mr Poetin wanted to declare a war, and a victory. yet, it went another way.
Have a nice day. Voiceactor: The Pirates! (Sony/Aardman 2012) - The Passion: A Brickfilm (Neema 2019) - The Torchlighters: The Story of John Newton (Vision Video 2022) - [NEW] Minno's Laugh and Grow Bible (Minno - 2024)
Wow, I'm offline for two days, yet I'm bombarded with mentions in (mostly) this thread! I feel missed. XD I had a very busy weekend between my sister's college graduation and Mother's Day, so I didn't have much opportunity to crawl the forums. I'm off work today, due in part to a doctor's appointment, but I also need to burn some personal time too. It's mostly been a workcation outside of the doc visit, but I'm throwing in a little relaxation.
@Anti-Matter I'm still crossing my fingers that the occasional Yo-Kai Watch game and other Level-5 titles still migrate over here via Nintendo at some point. They really do put out some good content IMO, it's just that their offerings seem a bit niche in North America at times....I think some of it had to do with localization speed too. I definitely want Yo-Kai Watch 4 for series continuation, and I admit I'm into some of the darker elements of it as well. I'm still VERY salty that Yo-Kai Watch 3 is rare in physical form here though. Or almost everywhere except Japan at the time of writing. Seems like you're enjoying your time with Epic Chef! I still need to look it up on Steam at some point.
@TheJGG From some of the review scores I've seen floating around for Doctor Strange, I'm happy to give that one a miss. I admit my curiosity was slightly piqued due to the advertising beforehand. Likewise, my sympathies for those who do wish to see the film and can't. Conversely, I'd love to see Sonic 2, but I should track down the first film first.
On the Harry Potter series: In a universe I'm invested in, similar to Lord of the Rings, I'm always open to more lore...if it's handled correctly. Some of the bits and bobs that have come out on Pottermore are fine, and I do like some of what's been showcased in the FB films. The plot outside of the first movie, however...is admittedly all over the place.
...Waitaminute, there's supposed to be three more films? I thought Secrets of Dumbledore was to be the third out of five? Regarding Discord, certainly! Though I can be a little hard to get a hold of lol. I go by the handle of [REDACTED] with an avatar of a Trumpy from the Mega Man Battle Network series. Love the final cover of Act 1 of Dancing Mad!
@MarioLover92 I never got around to Fantasy Life, but I've heard the game is a pretty fun one.
It didn't help that my mom was a teacher, though not where I went to school! My parents didn't like me up past my bedtime either. They also weren't fans of rated M games, but I never had much interest in most of them at the time anyway...outside of Fable. I kept the volume either very down or completely off on my handheld systems! Lol I also had a bit of a World of Warcraft obsession in high school, but my parents were fine with me playing it as long as I finished my homework, chores, and other obligations. I've actually never played any of the Mortal Kombat games, though I've tried out the original Killer Instinct and enjoy the occasional bout of Street Fighter II in its many incarnations.
@Sunsy Must be from years of practice! I enjoy Star Wars, but I'm not a diehard fan by any means lol.
@Kermit1 Hope your dad gets well soon! To my knowledge, I haven't had COVID yet, but both of my parents have. My dad especially got it pretty bad even though he was vaccinated.
@BruceCM Well, darn it! I suppose you can always emulate it if you don't wanna track down the necessary hardware and cartridges.
@tekoii Hah, yes, this past weekend was especially crazy! Miracle Mask is highly recommended, though if you're observant you'll see the twist coming from a mile away. I've made more progress in my Azran Legacy playthrough, and my impressions on how much impact the previous two titles have on it still stand. Though there are also a couple of character references I've stumbled across where playing Last Specter would be beneficial, but not necessary.
Well, I'll try the 2 they have to try for free here on Android 1st, @Tyranexx .... Naturally, there are usually ways to get those games that for whatever reason aren't officially available, if I really want to
Normally, the problem is the language barrier but that shouldn't be an issue for a game available in America, although they don't exactly speak English
@Tyranexx
Oh, btw.
I have created my thread Epic Chef so you can see my last progress about that game.
You can see I posted some screenshots of Cooking Battle with Festumancers that I played yesterday.
I'm waiting for someone who have interest or have curiosity with Epic Chef so we can discuss together.
@BruceCM Understandable; why go charging straight into a franchise if you aren't sure? I enjoy demos for that reason, though I don't treat them as gospel either.
@Kermit1 Glad that your dad seems to be improving! Hopefully the case stays mild.
@Fizza XD I see you went through a change of avatars! Who's that lovely lady?
@Eel Wait, they left in the screen warp glitch? I was so sure they'd patch that out. XD
@Anti-Matter I'll try to check out your thread when I get the chance. You seem to really like Epic Chef!
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@Tyranexx yup itās possible and very easy to do. Itās quite fun, even if you donāt want to break the game, it can still be used travel a bit faster and find āalternateā puzzle solutions šµļøāāļø
@Tyranexx
Well, Epic Chef have quirky Chibi design that captivated me since from first trailer, the gameplay that kinda similar with Harvest Moon and the cooking part that dealing with Math since the flavors from cooked ingredients will be calculated with some dish Synergy bonus.
I like to count some numbers in basic arithmetic (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication) so to find best combination of dishes with highest flavor points or making the all flavor points qualified with certain quests was something interesting for me. The tasting judging during Cooking battle was very challenging if there were a lot of restrictions (No using ingredients made of certain things or your score will be minus by certain points) or multiply bonus on certain flavor points so I have to think carefully what ingredients should I pick and how to minimize the penalty to win the Cooking battle.
I still get hyped with Epic Chef currently before the next PS4 games I ordered from last week will be my next hype.
Btw, even the characters in Epic Chef looked cute in Chibi form but they talked pretty much like adult peoples with some complex vocabulary like Paper Mario games, sometimes they talked with mild rude languages and censored swearing words (written as *** since the game was rated E10+ / PEGI 7 / PG / USK 6), the unnecessary things that I don't like to see from kids games.
