@blindsquarel Why people get hung on death threats on a gaming forum like it is something real? Just laugh at it because the other guys are probably foaming from the rage
@blindsquarel The boggling part isn’t even video games, it’s the fact that people are arguing and insulting each other over a Paper Mario game. Really?!
At least do it with a mainline Mario game instead. Not Paper Mario!
@MarioLover92 Yep, I think there was a Ninja Garden collection on Switch IIRC. I might give the series a try at some point, but it's fairly low priority lol. I did only save Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts for my better moods and still didn't have the best time.
As for Mega Man & Bass, I know of the title but not necessarily the difficulty involved. I'm not a fan of HP sponge bosses depending on the setting/mechanics, THAT game sounds like it's purely masochistic lol. Or one that's perfect for the "Get gud" crowd.
@BruceCM Ah, so that's the correct title! Sounds like the collection overall is easier than the originals at any rate!
@Sunsy That's cool, I never used Linux, but I do have anti-virus software on my laptop and it's been doing a pretty good job at keeping it protected. I didn't play too much of EA's games besides The Sims, but there was one EA Sports game that I definitely remember, which was NHL '94 for the SNES. My dad used to have that game.
I would literally do the same thing! I would drive around the courses in Mario Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, F-Zero X - all in time trial mode - quite a lot as a kid. Though, anytime I play Mario Kart nowadays, it's usually the online.
Nice, I've used iTunes as well. What I've done recently was copying songs from CDs to my laptop's hard drive, so I would just pull up Windows Media Player if I'd like to listen to them. I have those songs on my phone as well.
@blindsquarel Was that on Nintendo Life? I can't blame you for staying away from that fanbase...some people go way too overboard. As much as I like TTYD, at least I don't make death threats toward those who even think of critiquing it.
@Tyranexx I may give the newer games a shot at some point, though I'm not exactly in a rush either. Yeah...MM&B is a rather unforgiving game. Most of the stages and robot masters are a pain to deal with, too. If you're playing as Mega Man, you're gonna be having a rough time with a lot of the stages, since he doesn't even have stuff like the Rush Coil/Jet. There's no energy tanks to help you out, either. It is pretty cool to play as Bass though, since he has a dash and a double jump in his moveset. Plus he has a rapid-fire buster that can shoot in any direction.

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@Tyranexx Shame illness ruined that. Not that I'm a stranger to that kind of feeling, I got my second COVID shot during E3 after all. It's just one trailer though, so it shouldn't reveal too muc.... nah forget it. I'm very excited to play this game. It looks... just incredible. I didn't really have many words then, and don't now. It feels like yesterday I first played 2, and even the original. And seeing how closely it ties in, having familiar characters and new ones alike, makes playing all the games all the more rewarding.
I've gotten back into DE, picking up an older save file. And I swear, grinding from the Lv70 to Lv90 range has never been easier thanks to Casual Mode. It doesn't affect the "inability to hit enemies 6 levels above you" mechanic, meaning I can kill enemies 20 levels above my party with relative ease. Although you get a lot less EXP from enemies over 21 levels stronger than your party. It means "post-game" quests can be done quicker, meaning more EXP. A cycle of destruction and rebirth if I've ever seen one.
Speaking of long games... Persona 5. It's so long. When it takes me 80 hours to beat a game it's definitely long. My free time's sunk into that game. What a treasure.
To anyone who likes Final Fantasy VI (specifically the theme Dancing Mad), have I got a surprise. I'm covering that song.
@Snatcher
Yeah I’ve seen that one, and it is quite the good video. That’s one thing I can appreciate about Arlo. While his biases do show through occasionally, I feel he does a good job at staying neutral on most topics, or at the very least, understanding why someone might have a different opinion.
Currently playing: Pokemon Soul Silver, Mario RPG

Possibly mostly because of unintended jankiness originally that they managed to improve, @Tyranexx .... Have a look into them if you want to see reviews of the remakes to help work out if you'd like them! That's pretty good, @TheJGG
@MarioLover92 Yeah, I think I ventured into Linux because of a family friend who was into computers, recommended me a Live CD to try it (a Live CD is basically an OS that runs off a CD-R or a DVD-R, and boots by telling the BIOS to make your CD drive the first bootable disk). Having good anti-virus is always a good thing to have.
The most EA I've played back then was the SimCity games. Later on I did play Medal of Honor Allied Assault (played it awhile back, crazy how people still play it online 20 years later) and Need for Speed (I had on GameCube, Wii, and on PC). More recently, it's Apex, Titanfall 2 (underrated FPS game with a great story), some racing games, and their back catalog on GOG.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who did this. I remember treating Time Trial as a way to just drive around the tracks, or in Mario Kart 64's case, drive to the castle so my ghost won't save, lol. It was a good way to learn the tracks too.
I think I've done that when I first got iTunes. Before that, I think I did the same with Windows Media Player. Nowadays, I buy music I love via iTunes, and listen on Spotify. Even though streaming is convenient, I still like that offline copy of an album or song I like. I find it amusing I have all the Trolls soundtracks digitally, and never bought a physical copy of any of them. Actually, I saw the Trolls World Tour and Frozen II soundtracks as a vinyl record in a store once.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@TheJGG You know I actually haven't played Final Fantasy VI before. I really want to get to it at some point though as I hear so many people say it's the best entry in the series alongside VII. I really dig the cover though!
@Kermit1 Haha. To be honest I would've loved it even more if the rope was around the neck of the guy and as he is ascending he was saying "I will become an angel!".
@Kermit1 You can use the spoiler tag on the image and give a heads up what is inside for the "sensitive" users. That is what I did with a drawing of Lucario that had torn Pikachu apart.
