Hey guys! I'm gonna play some MK8D at 9pm EDT.. if y'all wanna join I haven't gotten to try the new courses so hopefully we run into some of those online!

ALSO! On 3DS the game Rhythm Thief is on sale and it ends tomorrow!

@Sunsy Ahh nice nice! Awh that's great, glad y'all had a good time with both your birthday and the ole outtings and what not. AY! IO is awesome, I have a weird build where I speed up the movement of those I heal lol. Be cool if we play sometime, though I'm not sure how cross plat goes with it. Yea... it's actually pretty fun surprisingly to play support champs in Paladins. Niice.. hopefully you'll be able to come thru and play with us later!

@tekoii Are you setting up a room for people to join? If so, I'd be more than happy to pop in for half an hour give or take! If Toad Circuit comes up, you're going down.

EDIT: Sorry man, I would've loved to join, but 9pm EDT is 2am Irish time for me so unfortunately I'll have to back out on this one. If there's ever a time where the time suits me though, I'll be sure to pop in for a few races, you can count on that!

@Anti-Matter Sorry that happened to you man, maybe try bring it up in the 'Ideas for site' thread? Maybe something like a way to mute certain words from appearing and if an article were to have that word in the title or blurb it would simply not show up for you? That's my idea at least.

@tekoii Sorry, I just edited my post there to say that it would be 2am when that happens for me so I can't make it this time around. So sorry for this, but I'll be there 100% when the time suits me! (it's not your fault btw, I just happen to live on the other side of the world XD)

@tekoii I personally like to keep my FC a secret so I don't end up having dozens of friend requests lined up, but if I ever manage to get something like Discord or find a way to send it without anyone else knowing what it is then I'll be more than ok doing it!

@Fizza I have never seen article that is in any way offensive or plain wrong here on NL. That seems like individual problem that is easily solved by 2 things:
1. Growing a pair.
2. Stop visiting the site.

Also this banning articles thing has been brought up 100 times already by the same individual. It will never be done This is a gaming site not 3+ rated site.

I wish Yokai Watch 3 on eshop got price cut (normal price was still $39.99) since the game was not really selling good in physical release (the physical release was very rare to be founded). If Nintendo really want to provide some reprint of hard to find 3DS games before 3DS eshop get shut down, I really hope Yokai Watch 3 USA or PAL version will get some reprint.

@Anti-Matter Yea.. generally it'd be nice if Nintendo just announces more sales this year as it's the 3DS final year online There's no way I'll be able to afford or even play everything I want but there are some standout games I really need to play. Kid Icarus Uprising looks phenomenal. Starfox 64 3D looks cool, despite playing the original I am blown away by the trailer on the shop, looks great. Kirby Triple Deluxe and Robobot are needs also xD. Plenty of other stuff.. gotta make a list of at least several of the top games I want. Man.. I hope that game get's a sale so you can get it

@MarioLover92 On Shovel Knight: most of the stages weren't terrible once I learned them, but I had a heck of a time with Tinker Knight's stage. The pits and INSTA-DEATH SPIKES (will someone please explain to me why those were a good idea?) were extremely irritating.

I'd rack up all 99 lives in the first few levels of Super Mario World, usually ranging from most of Yoshi's Island to Donut Plains 1. I became pretty efficient with using Cape Mario. XD

@TheJGG I've noticed you playing through Metroid Dread! Hope you're enjoying the game; it's one I want to get to within the next month or two. I've owned a physical copy since Christmas.

@Fizza Love that VMAX art. I recently sorted through and organized all my old cards in a binder and am seriously thinking about getting back into collecting Pokemon cards again. If only to get my hands on some of the gorgeous VMAX and alt art cards.

@tekoii To be fair, unless I'm REALLY yelling, most of my neighbors wouldn't hear me anyway lol. Most aren't too close with one exception. It still baffles me that NSO doesn't have Game Boy/Game Boy Color games, but that just means my 3DS systems still see some use!

@tekoii I do like the effects you've put on the photo. You can notice it near the edges and near the karts, the chromatic aberration is quite nice. Reflects the sci-fi nature of the karts well.

@Tyranexx It's very good; a lot better than I had ever hoped. I always took opinions on Dread with a small grain of salt since it's been a while since the last game, so people may have gotten overhyped. But suffice it to say, so far it's a really good experience. The levels are so well designed and the maps are similarly well put together. Samus' moveset is also really smooth, and the controls are good as a result.

When you do get around to it, you'll have a good time, I can guarantee. IMO it wouldn't be a crime to put the game on Easy Mode, since some of the boss fights are quite difficult. The first one in particular came when I was pretty underpowered and I barely made it! You can't change difficulties in-game though, so be careful.

I don't have an identical situation but nobody I know in the real world play any of the games I do, nor do they enjoy video games (or the ones I'm into) with the same obsessive fervour, so connecting on that level is very difficult. But hey, that's where the internet comes in.

My situation, only me that still keep pursuing video gaming hobby with consoles and handhelds while my siblings, my Mom and my family relatives have no interest in video games at all, just only play handphone games.
My siblings and cousins play PC games and handphone games but I still keep playing consoles and handhelds games, never like handphone and PC games. I still have the 90's and 2000's gamer spirit despite I am 37 years old.

A good chunk of my friends and family are into gaming, including myself of course. I do have a friend in real life who isn't into games, and we've been getting along quite well. As long as the person I'm chatting with isn't being an absolute jerk, it's all good - even if we have different interests and hobbies.

@Tyranexx Ah yes, good old insta-death spikes...I'm quite familiar with them and they are indeed a tad infuriating. They're real common in the Mega Man games too. Kiss poor Mega Man goodbye if he even touches them, and in MM1, even invincibility frames won't save him. At least they changed that for the later games!

That's cool. I normally just beat the levels and that's it. So I'd rack up lives as the game goes on. I'm quite decent at using Cape Mario too, I used to have a hard time using the Cape Feather as a kid, but it eventually clicked with me.
