@Octane @Eel So are you guys mods anymore or are the empty stars mean your a former mod. I ask cause I have seen this new user around with a star like you guys had going around locking threads now. What's going on??

We are still mods. The moderator “role” on the site has changed though.

The icon was updated because it used to be identical to the one article writers and contributors have.

The person you’ve seen going around closing threads is the site’s new official community manager.

@Eel OOH, We have a manager now, which is an amazing change!

@Tyranexx Ah yeah, you do lose quite a lot of gold when you're defeated. It is cool that they let you get it back, but sometimes I fall before I even have a chance to get my lost gold. I literally do the same thing, I like getting as much lives as possible too! I would get 99 lives every time I play through Super Mario World, lol. Just told my mom you wish her a happy birthday - she appreciates it!

@Eel I'm pretty sure the community manager is @DreamlandGem, correct? If that's the case, she's been doing a great job recently.

@MarioLover92 @Tyranexx It's ok. Honestly, I prefer living in my current place.

@MarioLover92 Wow, I don't think I ever had my own account when we had the family PC. We just had the desktop and that's it. My own PCs usually have one account as it's my PC anyway. I think Mac had a similar system called "At Ease," which gives each person a folder. The school Macs were set up this way. It was like a big full screen folder with buttons to click and launch programs, games, and apps. Yeah, I just always loved those kind of designs, made things feel futuristic.

Tragedy, 'twas a fun thread until it wasn't. Since it's Easter I'm tempted to make a comparison between the resurrection of Christ and the crushes thread but... maybe it's for the best that that doesn't happen.

@Tasuki We are mods, the tools available to us are simply different now that there's an official member of staff taking care of the community.

Our role will be less "hands-on" from now on.

@Eel You still get the "You can't ignore a member of staff!" privilege which is nice
