@MarioLover92 I really do like the coin loss mechanic and prefer it over the finite lives in many other platformers at the time. I highly recommend the Golden Sun series as a whole. I'd call it B tier, with my A tier reserved for many of the FFs, DQs, Xenoblades, and Chrono Triggers of the world.
@Anti-Matter Sorry to read about that fire. I hope nobody was hurt.
@Tyranexx
I will update the latest situation at Tunjungan Plaza 5 as possible. The fire that I saw from the short video I got from my hand phone was terrifying as it was like burning the whole one huge room of something.
@Tyranexx I can see why for sure. I think that lives are gradually getting more meaningless, too. Games like Shovel Knight did not have them whatsoever, and in SK's case, you'd lose your gold when running out of life or falling into a pit. Also, when I play any Mario platformer, I found myself getting a massive amount of extra lives. For someone like me, it kind of defeats the whole point of having limited lives in Mario games, at least, which is likely why they got rid of them in Super Mario Odyssey. Which is what I'd prefer, honestly. So yeah...I can do without a finite amount of lives as well.
Great - I'll be sure to pick 'em up from the Wii U eShop!

@Grumblevolcano I am seeing House of the Dead for the past couple of days but I do not mind. The owners of the site need to get money somehow and if HotD is giving better money for promotion than others good for them!
@Sunsy Glad to hear the moving went all right! That was a cool detail they made for sure, the middle of the track that has the old-school Mario scenery with blocks and pipes.
That's cool. I did play quite a bit of solitaire and spider solitaire back in the day. Though I never really got into minesweeper myself. Like, I'd uncover a mine every time I play, lol. The pinball game came with our copy of Windows 95 Plus, I believe - I liked playing it quite a lot. It came with a bunch of cool wallpapers and sound effects, one theme that I truly remember was the one that takes place inside a computer.
Unfortunately, it didn't, so my brother is trying to help mom and myself with the home we had the past five years.
My dad was hooked to minesweeper. I remember the iconic Windows XP wallpaper. It was nice, even if I changed the wallpaper to Jimmy Neutron back when it was new. I love computer themed stuff like that, the old Mac had a tiled wallpaper that looked like microchips.
@Tyranexx@BruceCM Unfortunately moving didn't work out, so mom and I are back in our old home, with my brother helping us out.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@BruceCM Honestly, I'm happy where I'm at. Keeping personal stuff out of it, the main problems were was this whole move was rushed with no plan, and my brother's "minimalist" lifestyle. He wanted to try and move me and mom into his home to help mom, but it didn't work out as we'd hope. No big deal, I usually help mom out anyway, it's always been that way.
In fact, a "minimalist" lifestyle is impossible for someone who has a DVD library, physical games, and is a collector of cartoon memorabilia. Thing is, I know how to set up my room with this stuff so it looks nice (which I'm doing right now).
@Octane I'm incredibly sorry for what happened earlier with you know what. I completely forgot to read the rules prior to asking that question and I wholeheartedly apologise for it. I probably won't go further into it since it was only that one time that it happened but if it were to happen again, I'll know for next time. Thank you for letting me know though.

Dunno about that, @Fizza .... I just use Twitter to follow some gaming related stuff, which are all official accounts, so I don't often use the search function You might be better off having an account there, where you can set filters for the sort of stuff you're talking about
@Octane The star says otherwise.
(but seriously, thanks for letting me know, I'll make sure to read the rules before I post next time. I can't believe how much I've shot myself in the foot recently XD)

I got the latest situation about Tunjungan Plaza 5 after caught a fire yesterday.
The damage looked terrible.
The fire was from 12th floor and the fire that burned part of the building in TP 5 was successfully extinguished at around 20.00 WIB.
Forensic Lab team was still investigate the starting point for the fire to appear. The business activity for Tunjungan Plaza was still open except for Tunjungan Plaza 5 that still being investigated.
Been quite a busy week for me, since my mom's birthday is coming up. Tomorrow, in fact! We started prepping a cake today, too.
@Sunsy Sorry to hear the moving didn't work out. Good to hear your brother's helping you guys out, at least!
Ah yeah, the one with the meadow - I still remember that one, it's one of the most iconic Windows backgrounds. I did something similar to the one family PC, where I would make my own profile with a Sonic background. My dad didn't like it very much, lol - since it was technically his computer. We would just do everything on his own profile as a result. Me too - that Mac tiled background sounds cool.

I just noticed the stars say we are "an Moderator"
I feel like an adjective or adverb is missing. Either way, it's driving the English grammar part of my brain nuts. :zany_face:
@Anti-Matter Yep, fires can be pretty unnerving when you know they're out of control. Though I certainly appreciate a good bonfire on a cool fall evening...as long as it's under control. I appreciate the latest update.
@MarioLover92 While I appreciate infinite lives in Shovel Knight, I wasn't entirely fond of losing that much gold each time (I know there's an item that makes this less painful, but still....). I was fine with it when it was a genuine mistake I made and could get back to that point, but pits in that game are insta-death. I could hardly reclaim my loot then. X.X I've observed the same with more recent Mario platformers, sans Odyssey like you mentioned. A secondary goal I often have when playing an older game is to see how many lives I can rack up.
Oh, and happy birthday to your mom!
@Sunsy Sorry to read the move didn't work out and that you went through all that craziness for nothing. At least you know how to set everything up in the old place!
