that kinda reminds me how the Luigi in this animation
Oh hey, talking about the smart watches yesterday reminded me to check for updates on mine, and somehow it now has the ability to measure blood oxygen. That's strangely specific and weirdly useful!
Been working from home the last couple of days. Still not sure what got me down. Guessing a bug or food poisoning. It's rare that I also run a mild fever with something like that. Normally I'd ride something like that out at home, but just to be on the safe side I went to the doctor and got tested. Results came back negative. /phew
So my TV seems to have developed a weird bug. When I switch between HDMI inputs, sometimes all I get is a black picture until I go into settings and change the picture mode from PC to game or back again. I don't have to keep it in any one mode, I just have to tell it to change and it fixes the blank screen. And it doesn't always happen, only sometimes.
Anyone have any idea what's causing this or what might fix it? It's not a big deal overall since it only takes a couple seconds to fix it each time. But that wasn't something I needed to do even a couple days ago. At first I thought my PC had the issue, but since messing with the TV settings fixed it, I don't think the problem is the PC.
I'm not used to using a smart TV, I didn't buy this one for those features, I just needed a TV this size and wanted one that was 4K. It seems like sometimes the TV will even automatically switch inputs if I turn a device on before switching from HDMI 2 to 1 or 3. But that's also not consistent.
Hmm...Maybe a software issue with the TV? Unfortunately, outside of suggesting to update it if possible, I'm not well-versed in troubleshooting the things. I have a 40" Vizio that I love that's capable of HD, but not 4K. Those were a bit too expensive when I got it, and I don't really feel the need to upgrade yet.
@Northwind, @NintendoByNature, @BruceCM Thanks! For the most part I'm feeling better and am back in at normal work today. Still taking it a bit easy with some foods, but I chanced a bit of milk this morning. So far so good. The fever was only Monday afternoon/evening, and it was low-grade. Was mildly achy and had chills too (Didn't think much of it at first, with local temp changes; it was pretty cool/windy here Monday). The main thing was...well...It wasn't wise to be too far away from a bathroom.
I don't even have a TV, let alone a smart one, so I'm no good with those, either .... That does sound like what you'd get for eating something a bit off, @Tyranexx but glad you're better, at least
@BruceCM Either something didn't agree with me or had been sitting out too long. Or it was a stomach bug lol. Not the worst I've dealt with either. While I don't mind discussing the details of that incident, I also understand that some people are way more squeamish about this sort of thing than I am. XD Normally I have a pretty strong stomach.
One of those for sure, @Tyranexx .... I can imagine the details well enough, so spare anyone who might be rather more squeamish! As long as you're better now, that's the main thing
@Shamrock Yo, this is a thing. But I hired a guy to help me fix my PC for a legit problem and all he did was charge me like 150 dollars to do a Google search and tell me what I already knew. I'll never bother with that kind of service again.

@Ninfan The spikes are not the problem but it likes to bite. It does not hurt much but it tries to test everything if it could be eaten.
We are holding it as much as we can so he can get uset to us.

@BruceCM Haha, like I said, definitely not the worst. The prizewinner there was a bout of who-knows-what when I was in college.
@Apportal You just need to conscript a modified Roomba with extendable arms, delivered by drone, and control it remotely via a camera. Problem solved.
On a serious note, sweaty masks aren't fun. Not usually a situation I deal with in my case, but that would get old and VERY unpleasant lol. Hang in there! We're required to wear them at work, though we're allowed to remove them in our own desk space (as we're spaced far enough apart) as long as someone isn't visiting. I'm a software developer, so it's relatively easy for me to work from home on occasion.
@Tyranexx If it gets too hard I just think of the doctors/nurses who have to wear them 8 hours a day. I don't mind them on their own honestly. I usually eat a peppermint so I can have a nice cinnamon smell to work through.
