So while avoiding sleep paralysis like the Black Death again, I actually came up with an final name for that game I may or may not (cough hint hint cough) working on, while sleep depraved and making some more mechanics.

Well last year when she was younger she had a blast in it. (mainly when it was just cleaned, lol) But these days she just digs at it before actually stepping in, and this time she made a big pile of litter in front of it. lol

red is fine but why change the layout? i am lost right now...i really dont understand why sites constantly change their layout and it almost always becomes worse

I know right? This is seriously the kind of stuff that makes me want to quit the internet...and I'm getting really ****ing close...I'm down to just Gematsu, RPGFan, Gmail, and a couple porn sites. Maybe Wikipedia on occasion, but even they tend to tick me off with their constant begging...still, they haven't changed their layout in a while, and I hope it stays that way...

That's actually pretty normal behavior for an outdoor cat, though I don't blame you for disliking cleaning up the mess since she's an indoor cat, lol.

I don't necessarily dislike the new layout, though the red is a bit harder on the eyes.

On a personal level, I agree with you. Humans in general hate change. I was familiar with the old way! Grumblegrumble shakes walker

On a business/professional level though, this is relatively common. Most professional websites go through redesigns on an average of every two years or so. Typically these are for various reasons such as trying to catch up with the latest website styling trends, template layouts, etc. Some websites just like experimenting with new and what they perceive as more intuitive tools and layouts. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. It really depends on who is designing the website and the scope/constraints they're under.

And, of course, what some people like with website changes, others hate. One shoe doesn't always fit all as each person has their own preferences.

In a way though, some eventual website change is good. Have you ever been to websites whose layouts haven't been updated since at least the early 2000's? Most of them are clunky, retro eyesores.

@Tyranexx change is fine if it brings advantages. the new design here has NO advantage at all. it's only a confusing mess of tiles. i don't care if it's trendy to have that. trends come and go and many times they are just plain stupid.

why the change in this case? why did someone even put work into this? it's not like the "old" design was bad and certainly not "early 2000's" style. it worked and looked good. actually the i even prefer the design before the old one but whatever...

@6ch6ris6: I'm in no way defending the site redesign; in all honesty I find it to be rather "meh". Overall I prefer the old layout. I was trying to explain the thought process that typically goes behind a website makeover.

While I don't work on websites for a living (though things may be starting to move that way), I do work in the same division of my job as the website designers. As a result, I get to see and learn about some of their design process. As with most industries though, that process can vary between businesses, groups, and even individuals.

Nintendo, at long last, accepts credit cards that are not emitted in the US or Canada for the American eShop!
I'm going to have a problem now with impulse buys, though.... I'm going to go and try it out right now!
