Only the original 20, 60 or 80GB will play PS2, but I'm reading everything will play PS1. On multiple spots.

If I hadn't packed up all my things because I'm moving in a week, I'd dispel my own confused rumor immediately but I cannot!
Hmm... maybe this explains why there are so many PS2 collections on PS3, but really none of the former system.

@PikminFan22: That's what I'm reading, I just Googled "PS1 to PS3 compatibility" and there's many forums and answer sites talking about this.
Apparently there's a hardware limitation that keeps PS2 games from working on newer systems and I remember that being discussed ages ago, which if I recall, is just that it needs an entirely different type or laser or combo drive to play the game disks, which cost too much to add into all the PS3 units, but a PS1 disk is like a normal CD under the black part, or it works with what they have anyway.
Same thing happened to the Wii though, Nintendo takes away GCN player to cut down on costs of things and stop production of the old.

Seems like the downside is that games are region locked, so no Japanese games for me. But it still leaves the North America library.

I only have 2 PS1 games and I only bought them to collect, not knowing I apparently can use them. It's exciting to know I could have a whole other library now. I'm never gonna get a PS4 at this rate, thank goodness for my sake, that there's only like 2 games out I want and maybe 2-3 more I want total so I'm missing nothing.

I kind of just downloaded the ps1 games I wanted. That way I can play them on the Vita too.

I had no idea the ps3 could play the discs, though. I may try that some day.

Well I found GTA 1, but nope, its at the bottom of the bin I packed everything in. That one will have to wait, but yay I got my GB out and I can test Family Jockey to see if that works.

Who needs a Playstation when you can defend Team Patrick Star by splatting pink ink everywhere and killing squid kids?

Team Yellow is so much better than Team Pink. Or at least I hope so, since I've been too busy procrastinating today to play.

Yeah, I have a slim model PS3, and every once in a while I'll pop in my old copies of Crash Bandicoot, Gex 3, & Contra: Legacy of War (still can't beat them though, lol).

Finally decided to get Rodea the Sky Soldier a few days back, and my copy arrived today! I was lucky to get both the Wii and Wii U version for a pretty good price! Definitely gonna try the Wii version first, since I've heard that's the best version by a long shot.

I know that feel. Trying to kill a fly with your bare hands especially is made much harder than it should be because they're so quick.

Granted, that's probably not the best way to try to kill a fly, but 9 times out of ten, I'm in a situation where I don't have much else to deal with a fly.

Mosquitoes can be killed easily, but flies....it's like they're super intelligent or something. I go grab the swatter, and they vanish...I put it away, and they're back. >.<

So I don't watch Uncle Grandpa, nor have much interest in the show, but this skit made me laugh so hard.

FYI, this isn't trying to make Uncle Grandpa seem like the best show ever and people don't see it. The joke is a jab towards the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards, and how Spongebob always wins Best Cartoon (the only exception I recall is when Avatar won).

Is that what the CN executives imagine when they made the show happen?

OMG you have opened my world. Lol I went out game hunting and just randomly decided on Caesar's Palace, it was $2 and if it didn't work then w/e. But wow it works and I'm playing a disk from PS1 in 1997 on my 2013 PS3.
For anyone curious, it just says Playstation Format Disk and shows the black disk where you'd see the normal disk game show up. Neat!

...Well at least the bugs have been leaving me alone...
Anyways....had a major facepalm moment when getting back into Bayonetta. lol

This is a lot I payed $25 for on Ebay a few days ago, which is cheap for the items included, but not crazy. However the thing that I thought was air hockey, (the pack with the large e on it) is actually one of the most expensive packs of pokemon cards ever made!

Well I'm excited, it's now the crown jewel of my gba collection.
