@RR529 It's true you could probably find a better suggestion on GameFaqs, but I would recommend writing down notes. I've never done it, but a sibling who got that costume used a notepad and (I believe) paused to write stuff down. Good luck!

I ended up writing it all down (didn't even need to pause, as they don't move on to the next item until you press the talk button again, so I could just write the item & number down then), and everything worked fine. Now I have all the waiter/waitress costumes for everyone. Plus, you get a shedload of Gald for doing it (I think I had around 150,000 when I started, and had over 1,000,000 when I was done).

I already beat the game last year, I just popped it in to do some extra stuff.
