It’s Splatoon’s 10th anniversary this year, and like Mario’s 35th anniversary we might see Nintendo do a Splatoon 10th anniversary campaign starting in May or sometime later this year.
What things would you like to see Nintendo do during Splatoon’s 10th anniversary?
Here’s what I thought of for how to tie in during the 10th anniversary campaign: Switch 2 Joy-Cons themed around the idols (well, for when Switch 2 comes out)
When I thought of these it was easy for Squid Sisters and Off the Hook since both groups are duos, but since Deep Cut is a trio, I’m not sure how I could fit colors that represent three characters into two controllers. That’s why I couldn’t list Deep Cut here. For now it’s just Squid Sisters and Off the Hook.
Squid Sisters: Both Joy-Cons are black but the L Joy-Con has pink buttons to represent Callie and the R Joy-Con has green buttons to represent Marie
Off the Hook: Light Pink L Joy-Con with white buttons (representing Pearl), Teal R Joy-Con (representing Marina)
Each of them containing their symbols and straps to match the color of the Joy-Con connectors.
Well, I got the Wii U version recently but I only played a few minutes to finish the tutorial.
After that I played other games and still haven't touch my Splatoon Wii U since then.
@Dev-N Any Splatoon 10th anniversary Splatfest will definitely not be a Grand Festival rerun, much less an actually-themed Squid Sisters vs. Off the Hook vs. Deep Cut Splatfest for two reasons:
1. Grand Festival was meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime event (plus the venue was already destroyed after the afterparty, so the only way we can ever come back is by memories through the idol amiibo)
2. Such SS vs. OTH vs. DC Splatfest, especially if for a Grand Festival rerun, is gonna spark up a whole war across the Splatoon community
@Dev-N Even though they’re not the hosts of the game, would somehow be interesting to see Callie and Marie get to at least host one more Splatfest to celebrate 10 years of Splatoon.

Lots of anniversaries this year plus Switch 2 so I don't know if we'll get a ton for any given anniversary. Maybe a Splatfest and some merch.
I think a Splatfest in May themed after the first game is entirely possible, even though I don't know what the choices would be. I don't know if they would even decorate the hubs and characters like they do seasonal Splatfests. Still, it makes the most sense right now.
The campaign definitely won't be anything like Mario's, but they'll likely hold little events and post special tributes such as artwork and maybe videos. Japan will get more merch the West can't have.
