As for One piece, I tried it out but I really couldn't stand its annoying cast.
Had you seen it before or after Funimation took over? (which was around 2007)
I've seen both and I think I was a bit harsh as I just refreshed my memory with the latter and it was okay but I still don't think its as good as a lot of people say it is.
To be fair, it does take approximately 30-40+ episodes to become anywhere close to as good as people say it is, and IMO, it doesn't really become the greatest show ever until, like, the 200s...and then widens the gap from there.
I love how we all have the exact same opinion of when the series gets good. Because it's true.

Yeah... The begining of the anime was pretty bad... And by beginning I mean like the first two or three arcs.

Take some time to review it while I adjust the rules to talk about the voting.
Do note that I had to eliminate two level 2 seed series in order to keep the bracket even. They were Blue Dragon and Eyeshield 21. And no, I did not split up the movies, since not enough got in for its own bracket, and would've left the series bracket in bad shape.
