Topic: NES & SNES Classic Controllers

Recently I found my NES and SNES mini after being missing for a few years after a house fire, however I cannot find the controllers for either of them. I don't know if they were lost in the fire, or what but I was wondering does Nintendo sell replacements for them? If not is there any alternatives that are as good as the pack in one's?

Really want to be able to play these consoles again.

Any 1st party Wii Classic Controller will work for them (Bootleg Classic Controllers and even licensed 3rd party controllers tend to not work on the NES/SNES Classic Edition). Note that these controllers have short cables since they were built to be tethered to a Wii remote sitting on your lap, so you'll also want some cheap Wii extension cables, too.

All that said, if you're like me and can't stand holding down B while using A to jump on Nintendo's ABXY SNES style button layout, it's not going to be an ideal solution for the Mario platformers on the NES Classic Edition since you can't remap run & jump to Y & B.

For anyone else reading this, the controller situation is the same going the other direction, too. If you never thought to try plugging a NES/SNES Classic Edition/Mini controller into your WIi remote, give it a try. Great option for many Wii and Wii U Virtual Console downloads, some WiiWare games like Mega Man 9, and even the occasional retail game.

Wii controllers won't work as A) Don't want to deal with the short cord and B) Was looking for more of the ones that came with the consoles.

@Tasuki If you're in the US, GameStop has preowned OEM NES Classic controllers for ~$10 and preowned OEM SNES Classic controllers for ~$15 on their website, as of this message, but it's pick up in store only, no residence delivery- so naturally your mileage may vary wildly with that.
