Topic: Need help with finding a new barber.

Was going to make this a more general fashion/style thread but not sure that would get a lot of traction here. I still might but would have to see with a test thread.

So I have been going to current barber for a while now. Its a nice place but I'm really not satisfied with how he cuts. Don't get me wrong its okay but he's an older guy and doesn't really have modern sensabilites. Its servicable but things like his line-ups aren't that great.

So how should I change barbers with out looking like douche to the guy. I was thinking about trying to see him on a less frequent basis as I search for a better barber.

Short hair always looks decent regardless of generation. Other styles come in and out of fashion too frequently.

While it may hurt him personally if you switch for another barber, he is supposed to give you the best service. If you are not satisfied, you have every right to look for better service.

What excatly would I be googling?

I already know the style and what excatly I am looking for. I'm looking for opinions on how to handle the transtion form one barber to another.

do what I do, buy a hair trimmer kit (roughly $40) and just shave your head to a certain point! Like the one guy a couple messages above said, short hair always looks clean and good. Don't like short hair? Who cares, it's hair! it grows back lol

unless your current barber is your uncle or something, is changing to another really a problem? it's not like one signs a lease or something...

Just don't come back. Sometimes it has to be done. This way you can always come back if you don't find a good one. I'm sure it wouldn't bother him too much if you went missing for a bit.

I don't see what the problem is just go to another barber if you aren't satisfied with your current one. Its your money after all.

Visit him one more time and tell him that you are moving away and won´t be comming back?But then you are at risk of meeting him by accident... if he lives nearby. That would be awkward^^ Well, just do not come back.

Just stop visiting. That way if you can't find another barber at least you can tell him you just thought you didn't need a hair cut for the longest time. As for finding a new one all I can say is just drive around town. See if you find one. Speaking of which, I should find a barber that can give me a mean mullet. Wanna bring it back!

don't have the type of hair to get a mullet. If I were to grow it out it would probably be like this

or cut straight like this

With those options I think cutting it straight would look better.
