Topic: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

@twilight_Crow Read edited post. I do kill off one of my characters, and eventually both of them. I plan for Foals of Eden to end on a farewell letter written by Twilight, detailing her current life, and how she made sure the Story of Eden lives on through the people's hearts. She says no one has forgotten the "gods" (in the prologue, it is revealed that early alicorns where all considered "the closest things to the gods when in reality, they just had both horn and wings) who became mortals just to save the world. She leaves the letter near the ruins of Centennial Earth, and trots away, looking ahead at her bright future. Years later, she invites her friends at her library and shows them a book about Eden. It speaks of the King of Darkness, and the Angel of Light. The last line is; "The rulers of light and dark live on, trapped in a cycle bound to repeat itself, until the end of the world."

@GuardianKing What does that even mean? Anyways I am in agreement with @Twilight_Crow. Your making this story way to dark to be a pony story, Plus your Original Characters are to powerful. And your last RP post was so confusing.

@everyone I guess not everyone understands the whole "Black Butler" sort of theme. Fine then.

@GuardianKing Is not that anybody likes that sort of thing. But there was an understanding that we all wanted to recreate a funny classic pony story with this RP, you know? That is why most use cannon ponies. For example Aqueous and AB, don't like Dark in their ponies.

I vouch that you guys just start over.
An RP that does not involve killing things or need for ridiculous powers.
Laughs are usually better.

And I'm now really glad that I let you be in the RP. Really, I truly am.

So, when does this show get amazing? I've watched a few episodes in the past to know it was a good show but recently I've been watching it from the beginning. I honestly do not see why it is so popular. Judging from who made the show, I was expecting hidden adult humor in the style of Powerpuff Girls...and I'm not seeing any of that.

@Popyman, just because other people like it, it doesn't necessarily you'll like it. Though, try season 2, the humor and action gets better.

@GuardianKing You are good at writing stories but when doing somepony else's RP you need to slow it down and lead up to the next part. Please and thank you.

Then you expectations were/are too high.
But season 1 does take some getting used to. Things don't really take off until 10 episodes or so in.
People expected it to be crap, and what they found was the opposite. It was actually thought out and well constructed. Half of the reason this show is great is it's community.

Think of it like spongebob..and honestly a bit like star wars.

The world of MLP: FiM has monsters, dragons, fantasy creatures, interesting lands, danger, death, and tons of background things going on that the plot doesn't discuss because it's a different part of the world. Different cities and towns with recognizable characters.

Like star wars, the universe encourages fan growth. And even gives room for people to write fanfiction that doesn't even discuss the main characters--because they aren't needed, it's a fully functioning world. You could have another series in ponyville and ignore the mane six. Or go to fillydelphia, or canterlot. Or go back in time or in the future. But it makes sense to do that and you could imagine what happens in these stories and such.

It encourages a huge fanbase. It encourages creating OC ponies, or writing music for background ponies who never even speak. Stories, art, etc. It encourages a fan created universe.

Much like all the star wars fanart and such out there, you don't even have to include the main characters at all..the universe is well built enough you could create something for any given time and have it work.

And like spongebob, it's a kids show with grown up humor. (Glad I saved this)

It's a bit more like Bugs Bunny more than the PPG.

@Popyman It's when Rainbow Dash says, "It's going to be so awesome!" But seriously, It picks up the pace at around the 7th episode of season 1. It all depends on personal preference, though. Just stick with it, and maybe you'll be surprised. But if you don't, it's no big deal. Different strokes for different folks. As @Tare said more like Bugs Bunny.

@Tare I'm glad you saved that as well. Your right, we should just start over with a clean slate. Also I think @Big_Mac is right, she does look like she's Willy Wonka. Great Job.

From what I can tell from the few posts that aren't deleted, something happened between @GuardianKing and @Revolverflare.

RPing is supposed to be fun, and if you want your way all the time, you should just be righting your own book instead.

Maybe we can start over some time?

Also, RP is imposible when everyone is the protagonist, specially when someone is more than one protagonist. Why don't you all try to be background ponies next time and tell the story from the expectator's seat?
