@Aqueous There is a certain point that if the blue shell is far back enough when someone becomes first, it will switch targets to that person. So it's possible to dodge a blue shell even if you dropped out after it was launched. I just dropped out too late.

@Syvlerstone - SquiggleTail - has a writing project not really all that pony related or at least if it is he's hiding it for later. But to be most basic, we as in everypony in on it, is writing a different chapter of the story. The synopsis is up and writing has started but nopony is far yet and Squiggles wants all the help he can get.
@Dark_TeeJay - my experience since since the wii not sure if the ds did this but when shoot, it connects with who was currently 1st, unless they fall back lots of places quickly and it's no grantee
