Did a search at Amazon for MLP:FiM stuff. And what do I find? Pinkie Pie cupcake rings. Yup, that's right! She's getting quite the reputation for a little baker, isn't she?

Speaking of merchendise, I would gladly wear this all the time
@Derpy_Hooves I usually pay attention to Fluttershy. I adore her to no end and she's like my soulpony! We're both timid, meek, soft spoken/quiet, can be scardy ponies, have trouble being assertive, and love animals! I come alive when animals are around like I never do with people! Her introduction in the first episode sums me up so well too LOL. I can't quite make the squeak she does though, hee hee. Wish I were so heart meltingly cute and adorable when I'm shy like this, but I'm very much not! [youtube:ahoJY6V9iuc] @Bimmy_and_Jimmy I have to have that shirt too! Man that's awesome! I'd proudly wear that too. Yeah, what KaiserGX said. Where you get? @AlexHighwind If it's anything like what Robot Chicken did to the Smurfs among others, I think I'll watch with my eyes closed and earplugs! I could take anything from Seth except him doing terrible things to my ponies!!! @KaiserGX Did some searching and found it! Here's the link... http://www.redbubble.com/products/configure/7053402-t-shirt Gonna order it myself if I don't find it at another store first!
All the children try to run, To him its part of the fun. His branching arms are for collecting, His face is empty of expressing. He sometimes hums a lowly drone, He will wander 'round your home. Dressed in darkest suit and tie, He won't let you say goodbye.
I've never seen this show. I remember during the 1980's when licensed cartoons based on childrens' toys were all the rage. Who would have thought we'd see a return to that era, and this cartoon is actually popular?!
Why is it popular? It's a cartoon based on a toy series targeting young girls. What about MLP: FIM is so appealing to adults?
What's the next kids toy line to be brought back as a cartoon? Cabbage Patch Kids? Strawberry Shortcake? Mighty Max?
First of all, I was once known as BetelgeuseWC77. I am now FluttershyGuy! Not to be mistaken with this Shy Guy... @WaveBoy It's on a channel called The Hub, that used to be Discovery Kids. It's half owned by Discovery Communications and Hasbro, Inc (which makes the MLP toys). You may have to subscribe to a special package with your cable company to get it. Mine carries it, but I'm going to have to do that before season 2. What I've been doing is hooking my iPod Touch to my TV and watching the episodes on YouTube on TV that way. Or you could go to YouTube on PS3 if you have one. Nice thing about YouTube though... No commercials!
@tendoboy1984 Mostly it's younger male fans in their teens up to their thirties called bronies, but some females call themselves that. Either that or pegasisters. I don't know about the 80's version. Don't remember watching it at all. But, this version has everything in it you could want in a cartoon. Great animation, stories, dialogue (so much of it just friggin hilarious!!!), captivating characters that leave a mark. This would appeal to girls, yes. But, the stories and dialogue are mature and interesting enough to appeal to people of all ages, male or female! If you like cartoons, it's pretty likely you'll like this.
Found this at Equestria Daily. THIS...this is what I had in mind for an MLP: FiM video game. Based on Super Mario Bros. 2/Doki Doki Panic, each pony with their own strengths/weaknesses. Except it would, of course, have the "Super Six" ponies (plus Spike, Derpy Hooves, Princess Celestia, Big Macintosh, etc. in some capacity) and probably be a more drawn out adaptation of "Friendship is Magic, Part 2" (problem is, not sure Everfree Forest is big enough to base an entire game around). But, hey, I'm not a game designer.
Some interesting choices here. Evidently Luna is playable, yet her alter ego Nightmare Moon is the final boss in place of Big Wart (mind is blown). And Trixie as a heroine pony? Ummmm. Besides, you know Pinkie Pie would want to be the one to take down Gilda (replacing Mouser here). I'd like to also because no one treats Fluttershy like that. NO ONE! May have to play this just to blow up Gilda! [youtube:S8a4ZAXeWJY]
Video game is probably not the best idea. It'll probably end up being a half-*ssed licensed game like every other licensed video game
I know. It'd probably turn out to be a dime-a-dozen party game that doesn't do the ponies justice. But, it's one of those things I can dream about, like translated NES Final Fantasy II & III, translated SNES Final Fantasy V, as well as the Project Rainfall games! When a pony game is made (and with it's popularity, hard to imagine one not being made), I think I'd buy it no matter what, just to show some love and support to the show and it's makers!
