@the_shpydar - It threatens the herd/community or at least I think it does, fan art, video mash ups, fan fiction, episodes online, I would image that would be gone in seconds. Sadly I'm afraid we would lose the forum at best if it happened, not counting the rest of the stuff the entire community has brought to the other parts of the internet. I think it would all vanish and all that would be left would be to try and start over again and who would know how long they would give us that, after all they would have all power. Sorry but I always try and see all of what might happen, sadly the bill does not bode well for us. I'm hoping it fails but I always think in the "what if" (even if it is a nasty book) at times like these, I play chess and it's useful there but what I've heard of it... it goes well for nopony and if it effects us I think it winds up here as a topic of concern because in away it's related. Sorry for going on but it's a concern and that's my logic behind it and of course I'm only speaking of the community damage not the internet as a whole. I'll continue expecting nothing to happen but I'm going to hold each day here as even more precious to this is over one way or another.

I know all the publicity is making our, ahem, "representatives" afraid to support it, and all may end well. But, that's in big part to the outcry over it. Have to wonder what back room handshakes and back slapping over the years have been done that hurt us but went unopposed because there was no publicity. Oh, about your drunken pony run at Wal-Mart, I can totally imagine poniez in "The Hangover, Part 3" now, hee hee.

I'm a Groundhog Brony who'll be 35 next month, and I'll stroll right into the MLP section, take my time looking, then take my Brony flank to the checkout with my new ponies! I don't care what anypony thinks about it. In my experience, people are too wrapped up in what they're doing to notice what you're doing. Not only that, they're not paying the bills, and if somepony wants to give somepony else a hard time, they're going to come up with a reason. I keep looking at my local Wal-Mart for the blind bags, but nothing yet. I NEED MOAR PONIEZ AND I NEED MOAR FLUTTERSHY, DAMMIT!!! I've fallen behind on my pony collecting due to a "shortage of funds" (AKA I'm flat flank broke).

EDIT: Oh, and being an older brony (36? that can't be right!) actually makes it easier to buy Pony merch, as cashiers just assume you're buying it for a daughter or niece.

Ugh, after 11, I got to get some sleep, goodnight everypony, I'll catch you all in the morning or maybe evening would be more likely.

at home, i silently watch My Little Ponies while everyone is asleep, that way i don't get that "wtf" look from someone.
