Is it weird amazing Spider-Man 2 is ahead of far from home, homecoming and Spider-Man 3 on my list. It has its problems, but is still a great time. To be clear I like all the Spider-Man films except homecoming.

@blindsquarel Great time? The film is a camp downer lol

It took the most important event from the Spider Man comics, Spider Man killing Gwen because as a scientist he became too smug without understanding physics properly and then delivered it in awesome 3D. And when emo Spider Man isn't crying you then have Oscar winning actor Jamie Foxx and the usually impressive Paul Giamatti putting in the most scene chewing performances of their careers.

I just watched Chip and Dale the Disney+ movie, "the wanna be smart Easter egg money flex reboot".

I thought it was "good", it just felt like stuff I've already seen. I watched this the minute it came out, why, I couldn't sleep and this was out so I watched it. And I can now say He-man was in a Disney movie, AND UGLY SONIC IS A MAIN SUPPORTING CHARACTER SO VIDEO GAME MOVIE!!!!.
and Disney in their infinitely draining bank account made Batman vs. ET a thing..........

I watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail for the first time with my Mom. I loved it, my Mom (and I totally get why) thought it was dumb (in a good way). Now I can't stop hearing quotes from the film now lol.

Honestly, I feel like most things on Disney plus are just okay or good. At least, their original movies and tv shows.

I'm going to watch it later, don't think its going to be a masterpiece in anyway nor touch roger rabbit, but I think it will make for dumb fun, and if i'm entertained at the end of the day, i'm not going to hate the film.

@jump My sisters absolutely adore the Amazing Spider-Man movies and, whilst I'm not a big fan of them myself, I can definitely see why. I think the emotionally driven scenes can be great (especially when it's revolving around Garfield though that's more of a testament to his acting ability rather than the movie's own merits) and there are definitely some really great scenes (the Happy Birthday one always coming to mind for me). There is still some absolutely absurd bs they try to pull in those movies (I despise what they did with Harry) but I have slightly warmed up to them in recent years.

Watched Logan this morning. Been slowly watching the X-Men films in order, and while this one wasn't next on the list it isn't available on any of the paid streaming services I have & I noticed it popped up on one of the free ones (FreeVee), so I figured I should watch it while I got the chance.

Never seen it before, but it was pretty excellent (definitely brutal in a way the other Wolverine movies weren't).

Guess I'll have to wait until next week to watch Chip n' Dale.

@Fizza Meh, I just find it funny someone is calling Amazing Spider Man 2 a "great time" when the majority of the time is watching Spider Man crying and that's before he even starts crying about how he killed his girlfriend.

They are gonna have the bestest time ever when they watch Requiem for a Dream, Kes and The Killing Fields back to back. ;p

I said it is a great time, not greatest movie of all time. And I do agree with you on most of your criticisms. But that doesn’t mean I can’t find good in the movie. Andrew Garfield is amazing as Spider-Man.( yes, pun intended) and Gwen Stacy is the only Spider-Man love interest that is a great character. In the movies at least. I like seeing Peter Parker deal with consequences, not getting everything handed to home like he does in the recent movies.plus both amazing Spider-Man films have the best action scenes out of all the Spider-Man movies. I also don’t mind electro once he becomes electro.

@Kermit1
It is objectively the best Spider-Man movie. And yes my opinion is definitive.

@blindsquarel I wasn’t commenting on the quality of the film, just the reflection of it being a great time when it’s such a downer depressing movie.

Like the comparison I made to Kes or The Requiem For A Dream, great films but far from being great times as they are depressing movies.

@Rambler I just watched Come and See the other day but it was 2am after I was out drinking and I ended up falling asleep during it whilst I was eating my kebab. I finished off the kebab when I woke up but I’m not sure when I will finish the movie though.

'Objectively' is a strong word when Into the Spider-Verse exists

Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music

@Dogorilla it doesn’t have Spider Man snapping his girlfriend’s neck even if his inaction did both get Mahershala Ali and Chris Pine killed though.

@Rambler yep. I got home and the missus went straight to bed but I needed something to watch as I ate so I choose a movie she didn’t want to watch as I rarely get the chance to. I really should have chosen something easier.
