Topic: Major franchises your city doesn't have

We don't have a Wal-Mart. There's one in an adjacent city, but it takes fifteen minutes to drive there. I've grown up barely knowing what Wal-Mart is!

Also, that Wal-Mart isn't allowed to have a supermarket.

Let's see, I have a gas station and a post office, so everything but an Exxon station (although I doubt that really even counts as a franchise).

My city denied the building of a Walgreens! We only have a small Subway for fast food. It's a 20 minute drive to McDonalds and Kmart. 30 minute drive and you get everything.

Also, my county only has two stoplights (the ones with all 3 colors - there are some that are just blinking red lights, but those don't count).

WOw your blessed I wish we didnt have a Walmart in our city in fact I have like 4 with in driving range. I just wish they would pack up and leave town.

Well living in the second biggest city in England its sad to say that there is not a single major franchise that we don't have.In fact there is mutiple shops of the same franchise sometimes within 5 mins of each other.
Personally I find it sad that the independent retailer is failing in this country and has caused cities to lose their identities.The world is slowly becoming a very boring place to shop.
Still I suppose we only have ourselves to blame in sticking with the same old sh***y shops.Better the devil you know an' all that.

Ireland still dosent have Donkey Kong Country Returns! Seriously! It cant be bought here! Also, I'd love a Hooters too ha ha!

I don't have a single franchise where I live. We have a post office, and a general store, and that's it.

No 7-11 anywhere in my city. We have convenience stores, but good luck finding a slurpee, especially one that doesn't cost twice as much as 7-11 would charge.

I think our city has everything. Except Krispy Kreme. Does that even count?

K-Mart (used to be there, it shut down thanks to Wal-Mart)
Dunkin Donuts (we have mom & pop shops that sell donuts & coffee)
Little Ceasers Pizza (used to be there with K-Mart, I never had this place in ages)
Starbucks (see Dunkin Donuts)
A&W Burgers

I don't have a 7-11, but there is 4 hooters within 20 miles of me.
