Chokepoints are the worst and I think we've all gone through our fair share. List some of the ones that you had the most trouble or anger with!

I'll start: Fire Leo in Viewtiful Joe (GCN.) I don't think I ever got past him, though not for a lack of trying.

The Blaze clones are very annoying in Streets of Rage 1 & 3.
The "Can't Wait to be King" stage in The Lion King was aggravating to beat.

There's more, but I'll refrain from mentioning them for the time being.

The final boss battle in Dragon Age Origins is a real pain in the arse! Even on the lowest difficulty setting...

the end of Killzone 2. Room filled with a metric ton of soldiers, many with flamethrowers, who can one-hit melee you with knife if they sneak up on you. Great, great game though.

The hang-rider thing level on Battletoads also--where oyu have to press the direction you're riding and time the turns correctly...level sapped so many continues after all the previous levels...which sapped all your continues. The original Battletoads in general is probably one of the hardest games--the difficulty seems brutal yet it "barely starts" until after the Snakes level--one of those games that took me like 8 years on the NES to even approach beating...and I played it constantly.

The final stage of Streets of Rage 1 does not allow specials. It's quite a bit annoying when that final stage is a boss gauntlet. WHOOPEE! More annoying Blaze clones...

For games, I have I Wanna Be The Guy, Ikaruga, F-Zero GX. For specific moments, I'd have to say the final boss battle in Beyond Good & Evil. It feels so awkward because you're more used to sneaking around, not fighting.

Agreed. The MP2 bosses seem FREAKISHLY hard unless you know how to beat them. In MP1, the bosses had multiple strategies to be beaten, which meant that you had to find what strategy worked for you. But in MP2, most of the bosses had only ONE strategy to beat them with, making the game almost twice as hard.

In Banjo Kazooie, getting almost every note in Click Clock Wood just to fall down from the huge tree make me wanna cry.

I hear its amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on hari-kiri rock!!! I NEED SCISSORS!!! 61!!!

Sigma's final two forms in Mega Man X3. Good God, that was brutal torture! I nearly broke down crying because I could not be able to defeat him. But, in the end, I finally did, and on my last life, no less. Bloody hell, Sigma is hard in MMX3!

Also, there's probably more, but this one jumped to my mind first. Nearly ruined SMRPG for me.

Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

I'm not gonna make fun of you, Feenie.

The Baby Bart portion of Virtual Bart is quite annoying some.

For me there are two that come to mind.

First and foremost, the level wear you are disguised as a truck in Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. That level was insanely hard to beat, after trying to beat it for about 6 months I finally managed it, and then blew through the rest of the game real fast.

The other game that had really hard boss levels was Henry Hatsworth. They took heaps of hits, and some of their strategies were pretty tough. I found the nurse really hard in particular!

@Ninten - Honestly, I found every boss in Breath of Fire challenging. I'll always remember how surprised I was at finding the second boss, Knight, so bloody hard. It drove me away for awhile, but then I gave it another go. No other game had ever scared me off because of how challenging it was back then. Great RPG, though!

One chokepoint that I'm on right now is towards the end of Ninja Gaiden DS. (It could be the last boss, but having not beaten them yet, I can't say for sure.) Basically, you have to use up all your magic before you can fight the boss. Considering that previous bosses were hard WITH your magic (with can fully heal or do like 1/3 of the boss' health if you play it right) having to fight this one without any is frustrating and so far for me, undoable.
