They probably CAN make it to the Wii U but they will have to work a bit hard on it due to Wii U's different architecture and all. Some companies really don't see that Nintendo is just going to improve sales in a short time now.

Bummer. I wasn't planning on getting either consoles and I won't be getting one for a long time, back to the YouTube gameplay videos, I suppose. But congrats to the people that KHIII is releasing on your console of choice! ^_^ I still hope they port it over to the Wii U, though... And I don't care if it's the worst version either.
Exactly! They could make a decent port from a PS4 game! The Wii U is not that weak! It can support PS4 ports albeit at slightly lower graphics which have to be optimized to use Wii U's different architecture! Square Enix is missing out on a lot of potential buyers for KH3 (and some people for FFXV) buy announcing those games multi-platform then saying the other platform is the one platform that a lot of people are not liking and the one that has a lot of players who don't care about these two games!
Square Enix would have to work to make the game work properly on Wii U but I say it is worth it! Just because Wii U is hard to port to and right now has a bit low sales is not a reason to skip it! The other 2 consoles have an install base of 0 while the Wii U has atleast 5 million users with a lot more to come this holiday season and in 2014 as well!

The whole Square Enix bit of Sony's conference had me out of my seat excited!
I won't be getting a next gen console for a long time, so I'm not as excited for this as I should be, but I'm glad to see Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix & Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD hitting PS3 soon. Those two games practically defined my middle school gaming life, and were the first time I became emotionally involved in games.
I don't know when I'll be able to get to them, as I'll have a bunch of 3DS stuff to get to as well (A Link Between Worlds, FE:A, Mirror of Fate, DKCR3D, and Dream Team), but as HD remakes they'll probably be less expensive than other titles, so I should be able to get to them eventually.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
They do realize they won't be getting that many sales from an Xbox One version right? They'd be better of going the Wii U route. There's been like 4 Kingdom Hearts games on Nintendo systems correct?
Oh well. I'll be getting a PS4 anyways for Final Fantasy XV.
The are a total of zero KH games on Nintendo consoles. There are 3 on Nintendo portables, which is a whole different ball game, seeing as how the handhelds always get absolutely massive sales in Japan, while the consoles do not. We'd have a greater chance of them porting KH3 to the 3DS than the Wii U, which will also never happen.
I think S-E made the decision to port KH3 and FFXV to Xbox One before the gamer reaction turned out to be so negative. I doubt their next couple of RPGs will be released on it unless things drastically improve for the machine.
They're calling the shading technique in KH3 the "Kingdom Shader" and the shaders they use will change with each world to create more authentic visual experiences based on the Disney source material. (This was already mentioned in the S-E Radio interview on their Youtube channel earlier.)
For FFXV and KH3, they're currently looking into using Luminous Studio as the main engine. By developing on an Overspec (PC environment I presume), it makes porting the same content to both PS4 and Xbox One easier.
The battle footage in the trailer (I think he's talking about KH3, since that was the leading question) is a movie, because the tools they're using have difficulty outputting stuff on the actual systems right now, but he promises that runs in realtime in the dev environment and it should look the same eventually.
The two biggest new things in KH3 which he talks about are "crazy scale action" and way better enemy AI. He confirms that there will be a 3 character party in the game, but NPCs and allies in each world will also join in battles, and there will be crazy epic aerial action blahblahbalh sound like KH. He also talks about enemy AI being more complex and being able to interact with the player, like Sora riding on a vehicle type enemy and so on.
They are also considering online features for KH3, as well as other features which have not been in KH before. (Nomura is a very considerate person. He seems open to considering anything. )
Nomura thinks that it would be great if they can time the release of more information on KH3 at the D23 Expo Japan in October along with TGS. KH3 is seen as a rival production for FFXV. Get hype, etc.
How can this game be a rvial to XV when it was supposed to ve completed and built upon the technology from XV.
WAT!

I guess the Xbone will be getting a KH3 bundle as well.
