so i assume by the title it means no games form this gen, right on that grounds i will say
Legacy of Kain Defiance if only to add a new chapter and finish the story
KotOR 2 to add back in the cut content
Dragon Ball Z Infinite World add in some of the new characters and forms
Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire i mean just imagine being able to add in new Pokemon to a game (i'm surprised Nintendo hasn't done this themselves actually, it's a potential gold mine)
"I pity you. You just don't get it at all...there's not a thing I don't cherish!"
"Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!
I would not wish to add any DLC to any classic game that I love. I wouldn't want to take something that was pure and beautiful and spoil that with DLC. Those games were released as a complete package and I would not feel the need to add pointless extra guff that would turn it from a finished, untarnished piece of work to just an ever-expanding blob of interchangeable bits of "content". Just as I wouldn't want to add any extra scenes to my favorite movies, add any extra tracks to my favorite albums or add any extra chapters to my favorite books, etc. There are plenty of games that I didn't enjoy that I think could do with fixes, but that would probably count as patches rather than DLC.
...though I've never played much of the original OOT Master Quest, I've heard those versions of the dungeons...suck. So in this case, I'd like to believe they'd make new versions of Majora's Mask dungeons that...don't suck. Honestly depending on how they do the stray fairies, they could easily make them better than the actual original dungeons.
For lulz, I'd love it if Nintendo released a version of OOT with Twilight Princess' Temple of Time.
Hmm, fascinating question. I'd definitely ask for a significant expansion of Xenoblade Chronicles, I feel that Future Connected didn't provide the absolute best end to Melia and Shulk's journeys. It was released for free with the game so there were significant development and budget constraints as pointed out by Tetsuya Takahashi.
A DLC for Definitive Edition with the size of Xenoblade 2's 30-hour Torna DLC would be epic. But Xenoblade 2's Expansion pass already justified the $30 price even before Torna was released, with all the Rare Blades, challenges and extra quests.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Persona 4 Golden
Dragon Quest XI S
F1 23
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
I tend to lean in the direction of @Haywired on this, although I think that some games are much more amenable to being extended indefinitely than others. I'd put Mario Kart 8 in that category; if you're going to keep selling it forever, add some more tracks to it, Nintendo!
It's also interesting to think about old games that could have worked better as DLC than as full releases. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is top of my list on this.
