Lol I think you and I are one of a few who would love to play Chocobo Dungeon in the future. Which one did you mean though? I have the Wii version, but not DS. Either way im down.
I think it would be unfair asking the group to learn Japanese to play the DS version (never got an english translation :() So the Wii version! ;)
@WaltzElf Well I've heard good things about Samurai Warriors, and I definitely want to pick it up. Musou series <3 However, does it have a good single player campaign?
It's got about 40 of them, each of them lasting around 1 - 1 1/2 hours to play through. But yeah, I found it compelling enough to complete all the single player campaigns - and the Murasame Castle mode is quite lengthy, whether single or co op.
This is going well. I'll start a new thread next week about deciding our starting date.
@2D We'll decide on the next game after we finish our current session. You're free to give suggestions for future games any time though since I don't have the largest Nintendo console collection around. We'll be doing a vote but if we keep getting first-party Nintendo games all the time then my judgment will overrule democratic procedure.
@Dragoon You can still join the group and participate in future sessions.
@WaltzElf Actually that sounds pretty much perfect for a 2 month playthrough. I'll keep a note of these suggestions.
...Oh sod it, I'll join. Can't promise I'll finish anything though or even get close, but my game collection is feeling more than a little stale even when I do have time to play something. If we're playing Paper Mario first, then I at least have a half-finished save from way back that I never got around to completing.

Just replayed Paper Mario a few months back, still too fresh to replay it again.
I'll join though as this is a great idea. Especially if we are doing some crazy off the wall games
Suggestion: Maybe we could 3 game sets. That way if someone already beat one they could pick one of the others...or if they finish quickly they could start on another.
@Jay I don't want to split up the group though... Too bad about the timing though. And it's even more work for me to get 2 sessions going at once. It's hard enough getting people to agree on one game and date haha. And then I want to make a review out of what people wrote when we're finished - like a "best of" comments about the game and maybe a final score from a user poll. That's enough work already.

You should use that poll to determine the next game!
Less than three is on a winning streak! Can Hai. beat him in the end??? Tune in next week for the epic finale of "Hai?"!!
Oh yeah, guys, even if you aren't joining our Paper Mario session please join the Google group anyway. I won't be spamming inboxes with irrelevant stuff, just sending emails about upcoming sessions and votes.
I third the Chocobo Dungeon suggestion...I bought it at release and still haven't played it at all. Only probable problem is that it's not exactly a common title, and people might have trouble getting a copy...
Well, I haven't done Paper Mario since I got my Wii two years ago, so I suppose I could give it a look. I joined the Google group and now await the start of the first session.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
Chocobo's not a bad selection. It goes for $26 new on Amazon and less used. That's really not bad for a retail selection. The only thing that would be a problem is if we have younger members of the club who can't buy things online.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
