Almost done Shantae: Risky's Revenge, as well as afew other non-story related titles (Alphabounce, 10 Second Run, etc.) I quickly go through games, haha.

I'm up for joining the Paper Mario session. The only issue I have is a lack of funds, but if it's a downloadable title session I might be able to work something out. Just don't expect me to do many retail titles.

You know, this would actually be a great way for me to get back into gaming. I haven't been playing video games actively since May, 2010, and I am hoping to get a job very soon. If I can get one, then I should be able to participate regularly.
I should have some Wii Points that I have spared, so I'll be able to play some Paper Mario.
Okay, I'll join. Hopefully you pick games that I already have. xD

This is a fantastic idea and sounds really fun. I like the rules you've set up it seems pretty inclusive for all. I'm also pretty busy, and have less incentive to play anything anymore but It'll be great to have a reason to re-play or try out some classics I missed. Paper Mario is a good choice, I think I did it once years back but I'd love to re-visit it and chat about it. I got 20 points sitting on my machine now that I've been waiting for an excuse to use. Still don't have a classic controller, though. This is going to need one, right? I'm overdue anyway, looks like they've replaced them all with the stupid "pro" ones now too. Anyway, thanks for starting this, count me in. Is there someway you can alert us when it starts in case we haven't checked here in a while?

I'd really suggest getting a CC or CCP over the GCN controller, since it's guaranteed to work with all VC games. Unless you already have a GCN controller, that is!

Hmm, I'll have to think about that. NL profiles don't show email addresses so there's no way I could contact everyone except through the forum... Any ideas?
EDIT: The simplest way is if you all could drop me a line at my email address. That way I can send out emails (using Bcc for privacy) letting you all know when we're starting sessions. Unless some of the younger NLifers have a problem with revealing their email address to strangers, hmm... Maybe a mailing list?

You know, I don`t recall if I ever did finish this game... Too bad that my N64 controllers are pretty much toast, and I have a ton of other games I need to play. Other than that, I probably would finish the game. That is, get through the rest of Bowser`s Castle. I have already beaten Bowser, before I even owned the game. Not that I particularly care about finishing it. Whoa! I can do funny things with text!Is it the same as this...?Nope.

It's so... so random! I think my brain might just [insert blowing up sound effect]
I can't wait to play Paper Mario again. I got it a long time ago on VC, but stopped at the part with the shy guys riding colorful trains or... something. Don't really remember. :/
I'd send it to you to get on a list for an alert, but wouldn't post it here for everyone. Even then, not sure how we'd even do that since that'd mean at least you (Mackerel) would have to post yours which kinda sucks for you. I can try to just check back often enough, I'm sure everyone else does. ( I just rarely come here, mostly to the n-life main page but I love this idea ) I'll have to just ride out the nerd, and actually post it on a physical calendar in my house like "start playing Paper Mario for game club". I'll never hear the end of it from people that come over. (I'm 33 and have no "video game" friends in real life, count em, none. well, maybe my brother but he's pretty secretive about it too).

Blame my bilingual keyboard converting to French randomly XD I remember that part, I think it was a decent ways into the game. It had something to do with toys I think, and I remember the boss being kind of fun. Or maybe the boss was kind of annoying; it has been too long.

No, I think you bring up a valid point. Does everyone have a Google account? I'm checking out Google Groups for the NL Game Club. I can use it for a mailing list and everyone can remain anonymous there.
Otherwise I have a fairly anonymous address that I can post up here, it's an old Hotmail one from high school that I don't use for sending or receiving emails anymore. I can put that up and everyone can drop me a line saying who they are on NL. Sound like a plan?

So how did you find this thread? O.o And tell 'em a game club isn't nerdy - or, well, at least it's less nerdy than a book club then.
Alright, I'd like to test Google Groups out. Could some of you guys try joining, and I'll send a message out. The group is announcement-only so only I can send messages to everyone. Also could you check to see if you can view the list of members? As I said earlier I want to keep that hidden for people's privacy. If it doesn't work out I'll delete the group.
either one of those plans works for me. ready to start playing now, It'll be odd chatting for us in different regions. it's like 1 am here, I should be in bed, but it seems like it must be a lot earlier for you guys elsewhere. I'm going to fall out, but I'll come back and leave you my e-mail when theres a plan for that later on.
