Have you considered using TalkShoe for the Karaoke?

Looks like a chat program but you can also Call in via telephone, ShoePhone™, Skype™, or VoIP
I don't know if it supports a mic natively but Skype or ShoePhone would take care of that.
I also don't know how many people can talk at once as it also has a feature called Request-to-talk queuing.
Not only that but it can record.
You may want to check it out.

That is a very interesting idea. I think I might try it, and record it. Ill see about it
