Movies that Disney only distrubited don't really count. It's like giving credit to Nintendo for how good Xenoblade Chronicles is even though they didn't have anything to do with its development.
Not quite; Nintendo owns 96% of Monolith Soft, so Xenoblade is actually a 1st party Nintendo title.
A more accurate comparison would be if you gave Nintendo credit for the Professor Layton games; they're developed and published independently by Level-5 in Japan, but Nintendo takes over distributing duties for the series in Western territories.
Yeah, guys, distributionis a logistical function that has nothing to do with the creative art of making a movie. Disney is a business partnerto Ghibli, not an artistic partner.
For me, my favourite Disney films are the older ones: Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, Fantasia, Dumbo. From about Aladdin/ Lion King onwards, Disney started to lose it for me.
1. Bambi 2. Alice in Wonderland 3. Treasure Planet 4. The Hunchback of Notre Dame 5. Beauty and the Beast 6. Fantasia 7. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh* 8. The Fox and the Hound 9. Oliver & Company 10. The Lion King
It was a compilation of small shorts originally released in the late '70's.
1. The Lion King 2. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 3. The Little Mermaid 4. Cinderella 5. The Jungle Book 6. Beauty and the Beast 7. Peter Pan 8. Aladdin 9. Lady and the Tramp 10. Bambi

Pretty much this.
Pixar is the only redeeming thing about Disney nowadays.
Honestly though, my favourite movies aren't Disney movies.
Hunchback of Notra Dame without a doubt followed closely by The Emporer's New Groove. I love Hunchback as a musical and also for having a rather dark and mature plot to it. The gothis choir is something different from most disney musicals and the maturity of the story is pretty surprising. As for Emporer, I love the comedy in it between all of the characters and the sense of change in it. It's not Disney's best work animation wise, but it's probably Disney's funniest movie. These two though could be ranked lower though if Wreck-It Ralph lives up to my expectations (which I hope it will).
FF6: Release year- 1994 Kefka's birthday - November 9th So.... my life is practically mirroring Kefka? Cool.
Snow White hands down. Followed by Fantasia, Peter Pan and The Jungle Book. Disney definitly started to gradually go downhill since Alladin. The Lion King was great and all, but even that one still didn't quite tickle my fancy.
And I still haven't seen The Sword and the Stone....Must...See. As far as modern Disney goes, how was The Princess and the Frog?
I liked it. It had some pretty good songs and it's different from most Dsiney musicals. I didn't really enjoy the ending all that much mostly because I thought it was a bit rushed, but the beginning is a very nicely done beginning and the characters are all enjoyable. I'd rank it as one of the better Dsiney musicals.

Very watchable, and very traditional. Though it doesn't quite have the magic of the classic Disney films, it was an earnest attempt to do something in that style.
Yeah The Princess and the Frog was great. My daughter loves it. It is in many ways a return to classic Disney but with a modern touch. The music is some of the best in a Disney film and the evil character (can't recall his name, Voodoo guy or whatever ) was really well done.Best Disney film in years. I wouldn't class Ghibli films (or Pixar films for that matter) as Disney. Otherwise my top five would just be Ghibli films plus I watch them in Japanese anyway so Disney's input is minimal in my eyes. For me Disney's 5 best ,in no particular order , is - The Jungle book, Beauty and the Beast , Fantasia , Snow White ,Princess and the Frog.
I came in here to make sure The Great Mouse Detective was mentioned. I am very pleased.

This! I loved that movie. Ratican is one of the greatest villains in animation. I also have no idea why it isn't as popular as the others.
As far as my favorite though, it's a tough call. I like a lot of Disney Films, but favorite off the top of my head is Peter Pan. Hook is just one of those villains you can never get enough of.

Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.

Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
