Ironman 3 is kicking off the "Phase 2" for Marvel, so I am sure, just like they did for phase 1 they will have some little snipet at the end of each movie that kind of foreshadows the premise of the 2nd Avengers movie.
I heard that Shield is supposed to play a big part in Captain America: Winter Soldier
Well I was mostly taking about the shield TV show. Its apart of phase two and is an ongoing 26 episode deal. I was wondering how will they address the events of the new films in the show. I mean all of this happens post Avengers and I can't see the show just ignoring that Giant Ass Asgaradian War ship attacking Washington DC in the Thor 2 trailer.
WAT!

Wow alot went on here while I was at work so I have alot to reply too so bare with me.
@HawkeyeWii: Yeah Ironman is at the bottom of my list. Honestly I did enjoy it alot its one of my top movies right now but this is a case as to someone has to be on the bottom not because it was bad but because well someone has to be on the bottom if that makes sense. For me what puts Thor on top was the fantasy elements and as for Captain America it was the historical elementals. As for Hulk yeah I have been a Hulk fanboy since the Bill Bixby tv series.
@RR529: As for the hate for Ironman 2 as you put it I dont hate it I mean I can think of other superhero movies to hate over Ironman 2 (Fantastic 4, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengence) but compared to the first Ironman it was just sub par. I was disappointed with Mickey Rourke's part I think they underused his character big time and the fact that they replaced War Machine honestly I thought Terrance Howard was perfect for the part but I guess the studio thought different.
@HawkeyeWii: The Shield TV show is called Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and will take place after the Avengers movie and will center around Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg will reprise his role). It is being done by Joss Whedon and will premier on ABC (since they are owned by Disney) sometime this fall.
what? haha that's funny.
I would like to see the Vision join at some time, but not like that. And the life decoy model theory seems kinda lame and bs to me.
Regardless he is one of my favorite characters of the Avenger movies.
I'm sure they're going to go the LMD route with Coulson; i'm more curious as to whether they'll have it that his LMD was killed in Avengers, or that the Coulson on the show will be an LMD. And the LMD-fake-out-death idea is pretty much a SHIELD trademark — Fury's been "killed" so many times in the comic, and they even did it recently in the Avengers cartoon (which sadly was cancelled) with Maria Hill as well.
Also, on Coulson, he is a fun and awesome character on the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, in case anybody has been watching it.
He was originally introduced in the movies, but since then he's been brought into the comic universe as well, since he turned out to be pretty popular amongst Marvel fans. Which is also why he was included in the new Spidey 'toon.

Ha. Kinda of reminds me of Harley Quinn.

So Iron Man 3 spoiler are out and i'm thinking this movie is going to as overrated as iron man 2 was hated. Really not feeling what Black does to Mandarin or Extremis. It seems like two sorely missed opportunities to link to future films.
I also don't like that the Mandarin doesn't have any powers.

Ironman has 50 reviews and is at a 92% with only 4 rotten reviews. This is excellent! Most of the critics are saying it is the best of the trilogy.
Oh and a side note, I got the newest Superior Spiderman yesterday, I can't wait to read it!
Just got back from seeing Iron Man 3, and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was definitely better than Iron Man/Hulk/Iron Man 2/Thor/Captain America. I don't think it's as good as The Avengers but it feels very different to that film. It's less... um... flashy.
The Avengers was the first of these films I thought was actually funny too, mainly in terms of visual gags. The humour is strong again, but this time they lean more towards the great lines. The dialog on the whole is great. Can I say snappy? I know a lot of people don't like that, but it really is.
It's probably the closest a Marvel film has come to a great villain too. I know a lot of people are not going to like the Mandarin, but I thought Kingsley was brilliant. Stand out performance of the film.
