I consider myself well experienced in JRPGs with a preference to turnbased but normal was a little too easy and hard a little bit hard. After trying various options I settled on the normal settings but changed Monster Strength to Strong.
I would have gone tough going, but wanted a slightly more relaxed adventure. All in all, really enjoying the game and about 10 hours in on SW2.
stuck it on "tough going" and while enemies felt a bit tanky at the start with even the basic slimes taking a good few hits it did balance out when more skills were unlocked, it feels closer to something like DQXI so far (am about 15 hours in) due to the QOL.
I do like the idea of the difficulty settings while still including presets for those that just like to pick a difficulty mode, do wish there were a couple more options like removing healing at save points and level up but i like how difficulty options are handled overall.
@Mgalens yes the option sliders are welcome beyond set configurations. I think if I was on a more grander adventure like DQ12, I probably would have gone for tough going to savour the experience.
