Yeah, no.
This guy is basically complaining about fans being divisive, which while annoying, every fan base does.
Different opinions is part of human, we all different tastes in what's good or not.
Also the Space World 2000 tech demo was just that: tech demo. It was never intended to be a bigger thing and was just a test for the hardware, similar to the Zelda HD tech demo.
I find he is focused on the vocal minority rather than what the general public enjoy.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
He has some viable points I will say that but I don't believe that it's entirely true.. the reason why bad games are becoming more popular now is because of how much advertisement they get.. take meme run for example, terrible garbage.. but people read these complaints and purchase the game to see how bad it is themselves. Zelda is in a similar boat because like people disliked wind waker, they played the game to see what's up, and naturally they loved it. Dangit.. the one pun I successfully come up with and it's not in the pun thread..
Internet lesson #1.. there will always be more people with negative feelings or comments towards something than positive people. You can read reviews and comment sections on games, and it just be full of haters while the positive players instead just playing and enjoying the games themselves. Skehword soard would be my case of just enjoying the game and not bothering on writing reviews or good comments on it.. I don't see the hate in it, I never used drowsing in the actual game and motion controls were very easy to recalibrate at the push of a button (down on the D pad) yet everybody complains for the very reasons and I can't exactly go out of my way to atempt to prove them wrong, however they can atempt to convince me the flaws with any excuse regardless of how biased it is. Which is basicly the ORAS discussion thread in a nutshell
The negativity will always be more common than the positivity cause it's just how people are, unless the game is incredibly obviously awful (meme run) great games like wind waker and skyward sword may actually be much more successful and loved than we assume based off reading reviews on the internet..haters look large in numbers but that's not confirming the hate outweighing the positive review behind the scene remaining quiet and enjoying themselves.

Everybody has their own opinion.
I don't think that is the case. Sometimes bad games get sales based on the bad remarks but that wouldn't make people love the game. (except for its badness) While I do think YouTube play-throughs of older games help those games become popular the game needs to still be good to get enough of a following to get a remake that sells very well, especially since a lot of remakes try to fix some "issues" it may have had. I think you are just taking a few examples and trying to say that is the cause for all cases. A case of vocal minority is a lot more likely with this.

Guess I learned not to judge a video by it cover. I thought it would of been a rant video Zelda fans sucking because of this and that reason and they ruin the real fan base or something along that line. Instead it was a analysis of what I notice playing Zelda games since Ocarina of Time.
I always seen Zelda games as one of those that is ahead of its time. What is criticized today, is praised tomorrow (OoT being at the perfect spot of time). With that said, I'm still surprised that people around my age group wanted a remake of Wind Waker and Majora's Mask when they "frown" the original as kids. Then again the group that makes the most noise on the internet wins, so victory for the minority.
I may also agree with the whole kid to adult factor just for the point you can make your own money and you don't have to follow what other people like or what you're "suppose" to like (ex. First Person Shooters). No peer pressure.
A dying animal struggles, thrashes and howls in protest as its life torn from it. To see this in action, watch Animal Planet. The same thing happens when a video game is or isn't released. To see this in action, stay here.

I just want to say a lot of the hate for WW's initial reveal is completely justified. The reveal trailer for that game was HORRIBLE. It wasn't just the art style. The scene chosen felt like a slapstick super kiddy cartoon (not something like Phineas and Ferb, something like the first season of Ultimate Spider-man). It showed us nothing of the world filled with water, of the amazing music, or anything like that.

Why do all American commentators on video games seem to have this annoying voice?
I can't be bothered to watch the vid but I find too many of these video game commentary vids are just annoying people try to work in catchphrases. Very rarely are any of these people sincerely passionate about what they talk about or have insight beyond a basic level of understanding.
I was legitimately surprised it wasn't Game Theory tbh.
I don't need to watch it at all to say, yeah all fanbases can suck. (except Detective Conan, because our English fandom only barely exists by comparison : D). This should be known to anyone whose been around more than a few Sonic fans.
That being said, I have no idea why any Zelda fan would have much reason to whine compared to most fanbases. "Oh no, this well made video game for the 15th time this time made a few design changes I didn't like! HOW AWFUL!" I'm surprised Earthbound fans or whoever don't just constantly mock fans like this. There has been almost no franchise in history that has had the consistent quality of Zelda.
