Topic: Disappointment of the Day

My art motivation rush seems to be over and now I just wanna stop drawing all together.

After finishing FFIV on my tablet, I decided to download DQIV, except this one isn't working...

It doesn't even get to the game. Whenever I start it up, it goes to the screen stating that it's "Authenticating Licensce", but then never goes beyond that. It doesn't freeze (the little loading icon still moves), and it's not crashing, it's just like it's not successfully connecting to SE's servers (FFIV did the same check, but it never took more than a couple of seconds).

This could be $15 down the drain...

@RR529: What kind of tablet is it

A Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. It had no problems whatsoever running Final Fantasy IV (which, just like DQIV, is a port of the DS version).

EDIT: Dragon Quest IV is now working!

Looks like things have resolved themselves.

I spent $30 to get Final Fantasy XI: Seekers of Adoulin Ultimate Edition, but thanks to Square-Enix's archaic and confusing website, I used the registration code wrong and now I'm out $30...and they have the WORST contact form, where you have to have your registration code (which it won't let me use), so I'm totally $%$#ed!!!

One of my dogs chewed on my 3DS power cord while I was taking my other dog for a walk, and now it doesn't work anymore. And what's worse, I can't seemed to find my spare one anywhere in the house.

A girl I liked for 4 years invited me over her house.. and then talks about me behind my back and ask us my mother to leave after saying she likes another guy. She used me to bring her grades up to passing so she can talk to this other guy who she lied to me about and said he was just an arrogant friend. She then bought clothes for me (don't ask, she fought me with paying) and as nice as that was I have a funny feeling and took that the wrong way like she's dressing me to go get away and find someone else. Her excuse for liking the other guy was he's a gentlemen when he did nothing but insult and talk her down, and talk dirty when I met him while me on the other hand held doors, bought her entire family dinner, brought her grades up, supported her with as much as I could, did her chores so she can relax after working hard getting the house ready for us, name it, I did it already.

Overrall, I feel nothing but betrayed, lied to, used, and slapped in the face. I ain't even heart broken, just flat out pissed.

The girl even said to me "will you move down to georgia with me when I go to college, I'll be alone." When I talk to her again.. Hell. No.

My wife caught me enamoring my very good looking, 9 out of 10, maid. The problem is she believes we have an affair and this is my first time flirting with her.

I've been developing a game for about 3-4 months and wanted to become a Wii U developer using the new indie programme. They have declined me because I'm living in Israel. Now I feel lost and disappointed as I was sure they would accept me and I'll finally be able to make my dream come true and release a game on a Nintendo console...
Do you think that making a petition can make any difference?

I just played Dying Light wow,not worth the full retail price.Damn i gotta stop buying these type of games.

@MegaBeedrill yeah I'm sorry to hear about that man. But you know what they say- sometimes things fall apart to come together(or something like that). Anyways, you'll see one day that it was for the best.

I had a dream scientists had invented a real working Zaku II from Mobile Suit Gundam...and then it blew up my house.

I just noticed that Villager WTF thread was this close to being Hall of Fame-worthy. Oh well.

Today just hasn't been good to me and work sucked and was very busy. Time for sleep and hopes of a much better tomorrow!

Super Mario World is...actually really super fun.

Please elaborate on how this is a disappointment.

Aw, I expected that response from a noob Oh wow, you've only been here a year? Well then...

I played it as a kid. I hated it. I played it again years later, I hated it more. I played it as an adult(-ish), and that hate turned to fury.

Turns out the problem was mostly that I was playing it on the GBA I guess, because the SNES version is all of a sudden really fun. The differences are subtle, and I still made stupid mistakes on World 2-1 like always, but now it just feels like stupid mistakes - the game feels really tight and responsive now. Hell, I'm on World 3 now, and I have 15 lives...I don't think I've ever kept that many lives before without grinding. It's been 3 years since my last attempt, so it can't be that I remember this stuff. It can't be that I was tired before, because I was tired when I was playing it at midnight tonight...

I guess Super Mario World isn't a bad game, it's just that the Super Mario Advance games are bad ports...which is really becoming more evident the more I play them...though I haven't had this much contrast since I completed Super Mario 64 DS vs. original Super Mario 64...
