Dang, I could understand a warning depending on the enviorment it is, but a ban straight up? That's a bit much.

I think we're going to have to put my cat down very soon... like within the next few days.
I believe I posted here a few weeks ago that she either has a tumour or she has destroyed the muscle in her leg. I'm starting to believe that it's the former. She was getting better and then today she completely lost all strength in her hips and back legs. She can't move..... it's hard to watch this.

Thank you.
I've had to take her to the litter box for the last few weeks because she had trouble walking. Then she slowly started getting a little better every day and she was walking again... and then this morning just out of the blue, a total 180. This time last night she was walking, and now she's laying down awkwardly on her side and looking at me with this very frustrated and upset look in her eyes.
I don't have any options. It's only going to get worse. I have to do the right and merciful thing, but I just feel so bad for even entertaining such a thought.

@GameCubed I'm sorry. I hope you can make it through this time quickly. If I were you, putting the cat down would seem the wrong choice, but put yourself in the place of the cat. Would you want to stay in that pain? Remember that its the best option if the cat can't get better and thats its noones fault.

It would selfish and cruel of you to keep her alive. Feeling bad is normal but acting on those feelings would only hurt her more. I know it hurts but in the long run, you will save her from unnecessary pain. I have a 2 1/2 year old male tux. I was never a cat person until I saw him at the shelter and licked my hand like a dog and I took him home. Eventually Trouble grew on me and now I can't really see how it would be like without him. I know when that if anything happens to him health I'll have to put him down.

It's going to hurt when you put her down, but you gotta remember this it's better for her to be gone and not suffer anymore then have her still alive and watching her suffer.Cause it's a sad sight to see one of your loved ones suffering animal or human.

Thank you guys, really. It means a lot.
I know what I have to do and there is no other way to deal with it. I know it's the humane thing to do, and that's what I intend to do. I have no interest in letting her suffer. She'll be 18 in a couple of months, so she's quite old and there isn't anything that can be done.
You never actually think you have to put your pet down... and then the day comes and you're overwhelmed.
I wasn't originally much of a cat person. Rosie was my older sister's cat, and then my sister moved away for college and Rosie got attached to me... and i guess I got attached to her. I can't imagine my life without her now, because every day I would come home from school and she'd be waiting for me. And now I come home from work and she's still here waiting for me.

So.. we put my cat down this morning. We're having her cremated.
I'm sitting here in the rec-room by myself. It's very strange. I'm used to having her meowing at me and snuggling up to me...

But last night only cemented my resolve even more. It was a rough night for her, she couldn't move at all and was in a lot of pain. She could hardly cry out at me this morning. I think most of my sadness came from the fact I didn't want to see her like that.
I haven't cried like this since I was a little kid, but I know it was the right choice.

She's in a better place now. You've got your fond memories and anything else you cherish from her. she made a better person I bet. So chin up and always remember her =)

I was gonna ask you... to take the cat to the vet. I was too late, @Gamecubed.
But wait... the cat's 18?! She may be too old to undergo the stress of surgery. Sorry for the loss.

God first.

Thank you guys. I appreciate it.
The whole thing was a bit of a saga. We had her at the vet a few days before Christmas and we were told to expect the worst. The vet didn't want to do a biopsy because she was so old, but it was implied that it was bone cancer. And for a time it seemed like she was getting better. But then Saturday morning everything just took a dive. So I kind of knew what would happen in the end, but it just happened all at once.

I just went through a bunch of surveys to get platinum and apparently Nintendo of America is already sending/already sent the MH4U demo codes, so all that was probably pointless. :/

Rock Band 3 is freezing a lot, more than likely server related issues. If this ends up like the server problems when DLC stopped on April 2nd 2013 then unfortunately I'll have to rely on Nintendo only again which given all the EU delays (such as Kirby and STEAM) is not promising at all!
