@Nathan_Wv10 I guess you're right. here in Brazil really cold winters are around 5 to 10°C... must be hard to face winter in the north...

@GuSilverFlame To put in a little perspective, what you may think is cold is warm to us up here. I may not be an expert on Brazilian weather, but I imagine you don't have to deal with this horrible white stuff called snow and its partner in crime, ice.

I'm ill but am stilling forcing myself into college to keep my attendance at 100% so that I'll get good references from teachers. Only good thing is that I most likely won't be ill on Christmas day.
Letting people's comments on the internet get to you.
Really wish I could just brush them off; since I know I'll never actually encounter them IRL. Its hard when you're a nice, forgiving person and run into these people who want to make something you say into a full-blown argument or whatever, just because.
@Austroid Well, Austroid, I doubt that person dislikes you in any way, I'm willing to bet that he still thinks you're his/her friend, and I'm sure that, whatever pain he caused you from saying that thing on the internet, he just didn't mean it.
This could be completely off, 'cause it's just a wild guess, but did your friend start the argument by making a joke about a post you made (maybe go back and see for yourself if you can't quite remember)? Well, again I'm just guessing but, he could've just been attempting to "loosen-up" because he'd been sorta stiff lately so he figured that (what he thought was) a nice, harmless joke would do the trick. Not meaning to hurt you at all. I mean, he still hurt you, there's no denying that, but the idea that he didn't mean it is something to consider.
Maybe this was a topic that's been 'done to death' for you, maybe he unknowingly joked about a subject or character that was very near-and-dear to your heart, or maybe it was just something he said. Believe me, there have been plenty of times where I lost my cool over a specific thing someone said, so you're not 'some freak' for doing that. Maybe we both are, who knows.
I don't know how recently this happened, where the argument went from there, or "who's fault it was" that it got to the point it got to, but I know this: He's very sorry about it. He may not understand how significant his first reply was to you, he may not even understand how it all went the way it did, and he certainly didn't notice how much he hurt you, but he is definitely sorry. He's sorry for the joke, the bringing-up of a specific reason why people could dislike a character, and when he became really passive aggressive after you mentioned that I must hate Disney which really got to me 'cause I love Disney despite it's flaws and...
What I'm saying is: I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for what I did, what happened, what I started, and I really hope we can be friends again.
@Austroid Just be like Goomy and let the comments slide right off you. Trust me, it goes a long way. I will admit that my first official foray into the Internet world was okay, but the first few nasty comments about me came up and hit hard. But I soon realized that it (sadly) comes with the territory, so I simply started to act indifferent about them, and poof, no more emotional stress.
@Gioku Seems to be a common thing around here, one of the biggest problems with talking in text is not knowing what the person is trying to come across as. Are they being sarcastic? Snarky? Or just outright aggressive? Sure we have emoticons, but not everyone uses them.
@WingedSnagret Thanks for the advice. I am getting considerably better at not letting stuff get under my skin. I've gotten the worst of it from Youtubers, (hard to believe right?) and it seems like it would be better to just not get involved in the comment sections at all. Its basically like putting a target on your head, especially if its a negative video.
@Mickey I'm very thankful for your apology, it really means a lot to me.
If I'd known you were just joking around with that first comment, I wouldn't of given it a second thought. I did revise a comment I made awhile back in an attempt to soften up what occurred, but I'm assuming you never saw it. Its true the character is someone I hold dear to my heart; he's a character I can really identify with. That's saying something when you know of the other numerous "stronger, powerful, and near-perfect" characters from the same universe. Yeah, the arguments have been done to death; its been way too long. Some millions of people out there just don't want to try and see the other side of things. That's their loss I guess.
I'm going to level with you for a second; the only reason I brought up Disney, is because I knew it was something to my knowledge you really liked and had great passion for as well. So for what its worth, I'm sorry too.
Hopefully we can put all this behind us, while coming away with better knowledge of each other.
@Austroid No, thank you. I've talked with a lot of people on this site and many others but you're one of the most calm, rational, and mature ones I've met in this (more or less) wretched hive of scum and villainy commonly known as "The Internet". Thank you for being that.
@Captain_Toad Man, was it really that bad!? Sheesh, I'm glad I'm one of the lucky few who didn't watch it.
@Miss_Dark Aw, man. That's gotta be rough. I hope things work out for you to celebrate next year.
Formerly MickeyTheGreat and MickMick. Now I'm Mickey again!
I totally forgot about a group meeting that was mandatory for all newcomers. I felt like an idiot telling the guy in charge that I couldn't make it because "I forgot." It was especially embarrassing because being in this certain group is considered a national honor.
