We have an arcade center here, which still has some awesome classics.

@Sean Aaron I'm pretty sure video game arcades died out entirely in Scotland and England. :/ I was pretty disappointed. Though they still have pinball in some pubs, I'm pretty sure... Otherwise you just find gambling machines.
@mnementh I'm glad there are still some around in the US at least. I'd love to visit one of those massive ones. If you go to any of the popular arcades here, at almost any time when they're open, you'll find people of all ages playing there. Even on working days I've seen some guys in suits playing Beatmania and Tekken 6. And then this 6-year-old kid was pwning expert songs on DrumMania. That was weird!
None where I live...but I sure miss a couple arcades from my youth, an Alladin's Castle that was at a local mall and Aqua Port in Ocean City New Jersey.
Well, back in the Bronx while I lived, there wasn't any.
In Jamaica, there was one nearby my school (in the town). They promptly ripped out the machines back in 2007 and made a video gaming hotspot with current-gen consoles.
No, but I did go to Nickelcade a few times when I visited my mom during the summers. At the time, she lived near Salt Lake City, Utah, so it's somewhere around there, but not in Salt Lake City, around the city.
When I was little, my dentist's office had arcade cabinets of NBA Jam (which I completely ignored ), Q*Bert, Ms. Pac-Man, and Arkanoid. Even better, they were set to free play! I don't think I'd trade today's sedation techniques for it, but it was still pretty cool.

Yep, and those "fruit machines" are total rubbish; the fact that there are "casinos" filled with them that apparently have sufficient patronage to justify more than one in Glasgow city centre still amazes me. I went to "China Town Shopping Centre" on Sunday and a few of the machines were on: Samurai Shodown, Golden Axe 2 and Chase H.Q. - not too shabby, but too new for me to actually care (especially since I have Samurai Shodown on VC and in the SNK Arcade Classics collection).
In my hometown we have one good sized Arcade in the Mall, that swaps out to all the newer machines when they come out, but a 30 min drive to all the casinos in Mississippi and there are some of the Largest Arcades in them Ive ever seen. Ive been and literally dropped nearly a $100 in them before over a course of a couple of hours. There not cheap, but a heck of a great time.
