We know everyone's date expect Sony at this point.
Microsoft will hold a press confrence on June 9 at 9:00am (PDT)
Electronic Arts will host a press conference on June 9 at 1:00pm (PDT).[5]
Ubisoft will host a press conference on June 9 at 3:00pm (PDT)[6]
Nintendo will hold a confrence on June 10th at 9:00am
really hoping to see Until Dawn and the Gureilla RPG from sony.
Nintendo's NFC is something I really want to see.
I wouldn't be suprised to see at least 3-5 games that work in conjunction with it. A Nintendoland 2 via way of a Disney Infinty Model would be pretty ideal.

Going to follow both days since I don't work either day and both of my classes are online turn in this summer. So i'll be stocking up on snacks the day before and chill with the IGN stream on my TV, and GT on my laptop.

@Shingi_70 If that's all true, I may actually seriously consider an Xbox One as my secondary. That said, the news of Rare actually doing something of substance, again, makes me question this rumor greatly.
"Price cuts never hurt, unless they so sabotage the company’s profit margins that any sales boom becomes Pyrrhic. Selling a version of the system without the Wii U GamePad has the ring of wisdom to it, but wouldn’t be without its challenges, namely the reduction of the system’s already meager library by the number of titles that depend on (or simply benefit from) the controller."
The challenges definitely don't out way the wisdom of this move. Gamepad is great for me but over all it is a miss and is dragging the system down. Nintendo has even failed to justify it's existence and it is flabbergasting that they would look at the current situation and think "we need more games that utilitze the game pad in cool ways so that people will want the system". That ship has sailed. The gamepad is hurting the system. Lower price and more games are about the only way they are going to boost Wii U so the talk of more gamepad centered games better not mean they won't consider making the gamepad optional. The gamepad is looking to be the biggest blunder they have made since sticking to carts on N64 but while they couldn't change to CD once N64 was out they are lucky they can make the GP optional in order to limit the problems it has caused. Once again I absolutely love my freaking gamepad and think Nintendoland is a system seller for me personally but those personal feelings do not blind me to reality.

This NFC stuff is likely the "new hardware" that the rumor from IGN NVC was talking about.
I noticed that as well since it and the reader are new hardware.
I wonder if that steam trademark if a NFC game. Regarding my next system I'll have all five by next year but the fall lime up will decide since Halo/Zelda will both be next year for new entries.

In case Nintendo needed to shoot down the hardware rumors faster, Iwata called the rumors about a new version of the Wii U being announced at E3 "groundless." Nintendo will instead show a new game that shows a new way to use the GamePad, which sounds to me like the NFC platform. http://nintendoeverything.com/iwata-rumors-of-new-wii-u-versi...
Which makes the original rumor on the NVC podcase sound accurate to me.......
The internet that jumped to the conclusion of a new console was groundless.
If Nintendo decides to make some sort of memory card for the Wii U I'd laugh.
They need to invest in cloud software. My infamous save erased off of local storage the other day and I just redownloaded my save from PSN.
Why not both?
I just want a way to take my game save and play with friends on another console instead of having to start a new save when bringing games over (and also to be able to backup saves incase they are deleted). The NFC figurine might not have enough memory for game saves if its cheap but it could be a simple way to log in to your cloud save instead of having to log in with a username and password.
"Rare handling a new Perfect Dark AND Battletoads? Sorry, gonna have to call fake on that"
Nah, if there will be a new Battletoads or Perfect Dark (Perfect Dark is more likely) then it will be made by a different company. Like what happened with Killer instinct. And to make things worse they turned it into Pay to play, yuck! Didn't hear much praise for that title. Microsoft professionaly killed of this franchise with one swell move! Rareware will just make lame Kinect sports games as long as there is demand for it!
The game has done well according to Microsoft and is doing well on both the store, but it gets good twitch and Xbox upload numbers.
Microsoft has already announced season 2 of the game which is being done by Iron Galaxy. In addition the game is one of the key games at this year's Eve.
The game is hardly pay to play either. The free version of the game has a rotating fighter, and you can either buy new fighters aeperatly or buy the full game that has everything. Its a model used by mobas such as league of legends and Dots 2. The fighting game circuit is made for this model if you take in the sport side of the fgc.
They hardly killed the franchise if it's getting an add-on, doing good numbers streaming. At the big FG event.

What I'm looking forward to most out of the big five:
EA: Star Wars Battlefront
Microsoft: Halo 5
Nintendo: Smash Bros. / Zelda U
Sony: Kingdom Hearts III (yeah it's not a Sony game but it'll show up at their conference methinks)
Ubisoft: The Division (partially because it's developer is based in my home town)
