Just finished watching Chrono Crusade and its really weird. The ending is just broken and while it is the saddest thing to ever happen, it still doesn't fulfill your curiosity of the remaining characters.
They say that there is a huge story difference between the Anime and Manga but regardless of such, the ending remains the same with the manga making the most sense.
I hate it when sad things happen and yet it doesn't give you the satisfaction. I also don't get why the author gave this story as a setting in US. I feel like the author should have just used Japan culture and not bring any American culture to it.
Finished up episode 5 of Kyokai no Rinne! They had to deal with a spirit Tsubasa angered many years ago, and Rinne recieved his scythe!
BTW, is anime more popular in the UK and Australia than it is in the US? It seems like whenever I look up anime terms, they're always almost presented with a Commonwealth English spelling, rather than American English.
Just in keeping with Rumiko Takahashi terms, online I always see things spelled as the "CE" Kikyou, Ryouga, Kouga, & Kyoukai no Rinne, rather than the "AE" Kikyo, Ryoga, Koga, and Kyokai no Rinne.

Just finishing watching episode 5 of Grisaia no Rakuen. And a lot of surprising things were happening in this one (Was I surprised? Not really, since I’ve seen the CGs long before the anime, plus the new OP spoiled some of it for others).
First we encountered Yuuji’s clone going on a killing spree in the embassy, meanwhile back at Mihama Academy, we learned that Yuuji has been apprehended by the government (thanks to her big sis) and will most likely be used as a bargaining chip for Oslo, because he has a strong affection towards Yuuji (oh Makina, how right you are on Oslo), as well that Mihama Academy will be closing down due to the lack of funds (I see where this is going… Roadtrip!). Soon after that, the girls decided to go to Yuuji’s room to see where did Sachi found the documents, from there the girls enter his closet and notice writing in the wall, which they figure out is about them, and that Yuuji might just end his life because the deal he made with Asako (which is that he is only allowed to die only after saving 5 people). Later the girls receive a call from JB, she inform the girls that Yuuji is in a holding facility and that he doesn't wish to speak to the girls. After that, the girls decided to gather information on Yuuji’s whereabouts.
The next day. After pulling an all-nighter on gathering intel on finding Yuuji’s location, Makina enters Amane’s room and told her she was hungry. Amane offer her a sweet bean jelly until breakfast was ready, soon after that Sachi and Michiru also arrived, and just like Makina, Michiru is also hungry, but Makina has started on digging in on the sweet bean jelly, so Michiru is furious and demands Makina to share and we end up with this (something like this does happen in the game). Sachi tells Amane that Yumiko has found the person who may know about Yuuji’s whereabouts and that she’s off to meet the person. Yumiko enters a restaurant and meets Yuuji’s otaku/imouto lover/military friend James (no longer goes by Robert). James informs Yumiko of the Thanatos system (we know is Kazuki now, thanks OP), and that Oslo wants it. Yumiko talks with Amane soon after, and that Yumiko wants to head out to found Yuuji.
Finally, the girls spend the last day of Mihama Academy in class with Chizuru. In the evening just when Yumiko was about to leave the academy she sees Amane and the rest of the girls all wanting to tag along with her, and thus the girls set off to get their man back (don’t worry Michiru, you’re going to make the girls all jelly soon enough ).
Now we're going to see the girls go on full bada$$ mode and an old friend helping out as well. Some pics: Makina
& Sachi.
I also found out the publisher who’s handling the 18+ version of the Grisaia trilogy. The publisher is Denpasoft: https://twitter.com/Denpasoft_pr
Denpasoft really need to update their site soon on when the 18+ version of Kajitsu is going to be release, cause the all-ages version on Steam is going to be release on the 29th of this month.
As the Ichigo group's interdimentional "elevator" makes it's way up, it's decided that the two Fullbring will stay behind during the fighting (while they were perfectly tasked with the creation of this "elevator", their abilities aren't well suited for combat).
Meanwhile, Uehara completes his gateway to the Soul Palace as well, granting the rest of the cast access to it as well.
Ichigo's group is the first of the two to open their door, to find that Ywach has completely redesigned the Soul Palace to his own design.
Also read the second one shot by the guy behind HSDK. Pretty much a teenage boy must protect a mysterious elf girl from a sorcerer who wants to kill her, and remembers he has sorcerer powers as well (his father was one, and blocked his memories of the talent until the day he is to meet this girl). He saves her, but the villain escapes and vows to try again.
To bad the ideas behind this, and his other two one-shots (one ninja centric, the other robots) are completely muddled, because he decided that his next long running series is going to be a crossover of all three, suddenly blending all their narratives into a cluster you-know-what.

This Yuki Nagato anime pretty much exists to once again show that you can make anything entertaining with these characters. Because otherwise it's the most boring high school anime you could imagine. Yet I enjoy it, because the characters I love are (somewhat) here. I will also say it's a very interesting optimistic series when compared to the original, which on rewatch is way more cynical then I remember.
DBZ Kai - Thanks to Guru, Krillin transcends into a Super Krillin! Too bad for him, this extra shot of power doesn't really translate to anything in the grand scheme of things. Anyhow, he also obtains a Dragon Ball, while Gohan figures out about Vegeta's hidden one, and sets out to snatch it while he's away. Frieza is growing impatient with the recent set backs, so he calls in for a fresh batch of Scouters, as well as the assistance of the dreaded Ginyu Force...
Kill la Kill marathon - No new episode tonight, but it was nice getting a recap of the last two story arcs in what's probably the craziest show on the block (crazy in an awesome way). Anyhow, who else thinks Ryuko & Satsuki are sisters? (Satsuki's mother's hair looks a heck of a lot more like Ryuko's...)

Both Ichigo's group & Uehara's group reach the Soul Palace, which has been completely redesigned by Ywach, and that was pretty much it. Ichigo's group were astounded by the fact that Yoruichi has a younger brother, and it was revealed Ywach changed the composition of the atmosphere to prevent the Soul Reapers from making spirit steps, which is that thing they do to stand in midair, but that's it.

Started watching DanMachi for something different. Started out alright. It's getting more and more shounen-y as it goes though with random as hell power-ups and ass-pulling. Only a few episodes left in the season though, so I guess I'll stick around for the ending.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
I've been reading... Tokyo Ghoul and that is pretty freaking amazing. I've also been reading a manga called Black Joke. Its mature, fanservice and action packed! I also started reading Gantz and its pretty cool so far.
On the topic of alternate dubs, I have a soft spot for the Ocean Group dub of DBZ.
Yeah, it's not as good as Funimation's in house team, but it was the version Toonami originally used when the series started to air in the late 90's, so it's how I was introduced to the series (Interestingly enough, Funimation was still the licensee, but their in house team didn't take over until the Ginyu Force fight, and later went back to redub the earlier episodes as well). The Ocean Group dub did cover the entire series as well, but it was only in Canada where it continued to be used (I didn't know this until a few years ago, when I ran across later scenes/episodes in the series on YouTube, which still had the OG dub).
Ocean Group is also the studio that did the dub for InuYasha (which did air in the US all the way through), which makes it kinda cool for me as well (their voice actors don't seem to be as prevalent in the industry as Funimation's, so it's cool to run into an anime that uses them).

Toonami announced at momocon today that Michiko and Hatchin will replace InuYasha: The Final Act next month, and Akame ga Kill will replace Kill la Kill in August.
Kill la Kill - So let me get this straight, evil alien clothing is really behind how humans developed over the years, and is getting ready to "eat" us, in a matter of speaking? Seriously, what is wrong with this show, lol? Oh, and mr. nudist glowing everywhere is getting creepy/annoying...
Sword Art Online II - Death Gun avoid's Sinon's attempt to stop him, and he takes his first victim of the battle royale. Thinking they have him cornered, Kirito & Sinon set up a trap for Death Gun, but they're way off, and now he has Sinon in his sights. Watching the battle, Asuna gets curious, and looks to find out the truth behind Kirito's new "job", while also digging into Gun Gale Online.
InuYasha: the Final Act - Sango & Miroku fall into a pit after she's hit with a fatal dose of miasma, and with his wind tunnel minutes away from ripping open, they're about to give up and die together. Meanwhile, InuYasha perfects his Meido Zangetsuha and severely damages Naraku's body, which can't repair itself due to the ability of Sesshomaru's Bakusaiga (in fact, he's slowly falling apart). With Naraku's life force draining away, the curse of the wind tunnel weakens, giving Miroku a new sense to fight. Thanks to an antidote carried by Shippo, Sango is in better condition as well, and everyone gathers together in front of their fading foe. The only thing seemingly left to do now is for Kagome to purify Naraku's soul with an arrow, ending things once and for all, but strangely, earlier Naraku had her slashed with a sword made of a bit of InuYasha's Meido Zangetsuha (which he captured and repurposed), but it hasn't seemed to have any effect, yet...
The Stealthing Dead - Naruto ends up defeating miss "cougar", who ended up being evil hair (???), the enemy's limelight attack fails as one of the ninja they resurrected has been defeated (and they willingly deactivate the other three, as they have no use without the fourth), and he tells Sora the truth about himself. Turns out, his monster like transformation is due to the fact that some of the nine-tailed fox spirit's energy was put into him, and sealed away (the actual spirit itself is sealed inside Naruto, of course). The seal on Sora is forcibly removed, and he starts to transform...
One Piece - Luffy is fighting Lucci, and appears to have the upper hand, at least until his "second gear" wears off. Due to the toll it takes on him, it looks like he may have to rest, which is something he can't do with Lucci bearing down on him. Meanwhile, everyone else is absolutely freaking out, as the Buster Call arrives.
Also, they had a new show montage thingy.

Just looked up the new shows mentioned in the post above mine. Akame ga Kill sounds interesting, while Michiko and Hatchin looks... different. I'll definitely give them both a shot, though.
I hope they bring I:TFA back eventually for an end of block encore (like Attack on Titan is getting), though I don't know how likely that is, since I'm not sure how well it did/is doing. When they first added it to the lineup last fall, it quickly jumped up an hour early on, suggesting it was doing well (or the things ahead of it not so well), but it's stayed constant since then, and it seems to be one of the shows that gets ignored/slighted most often during their show montages (at least recently).

I wish Toonami just go back to 12:00 to 6:00 instead of 11:00 to 3:00.
Tired of watching Cleveland show after Attack on Titan.
Some random dude on Nintendo Life.
Toriel left for a while, so Freaky Fred took over her place!
Not changing this part of the signature until Nintendo announces Super Mario Sunshine 2.

Michiko to Hatchin was interesting. I checked it out because Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Kids on the Slope) did the music for it and ended up pretty satisfied.

I've been meaning to give that a watch for a long time.

Well that's nice. Toonami's trying to stay afloat eh?
You say that as if it's doing badly.
I like to read the Toonami section of the AS message boards, and the attitude there seems to be that it's doing better than ever.
In fact, there was a thread on the board titled "How Much Longer Will Toonami Last?", and the responses were overwhelmingly positive. Apparently the ratings have been consistently growing since the relaunch, and DBZ Kai has the higest ratings of any show to ever air on AS' version of the block.
Yes, the back of the block was cut. It was all reruns though, and apparently, the front of the block (the new stuff) was doing so well and growing, that the back end's ratings weren't considered acceptable anymore, and they decided to cut it to divert more money to the side of the block that people are actually watching (and that it's not at all an indication that the block as a whole was in trouble).
I mean, just look at what they've got going on. They have six shows airing new episodes (Uncut DBZK, KLK, SAOII, I:TFA, Uncut Naruto Shippuden, Uncut One Piece), with two new shows ready to immediately replace two of these when they end this month. Pretty much every week they have some sort of new event (game review, T.O.M. speech, music video, etc.), and due to the CGI, these segments cost much more to make than any other AS bump. Also, apparently the Invasion II event is still scheduled for later this year, which will likely bring even more changes.
That doesn't sound like a flopping block at all, to me at least.
