@EvilLucario That's one word for it.

I'll endure it for any potential memes. About it. See if they announce anything for Switch as that's the only thing that WONT make EA's showcase something you can tell the time by.

@NEStalgia It was... not easy. But yeah, I got the original CDs up and running. Although to clarify, it's not Myst but Myst II:Riven that I was actually playing the other day. The hardest part is hang ups when you have to switch discs, haven't fully sorted that out yet.

As for your other point, I completely agree, and you basically summed up what I was trying to say. Microsoft has stopped trying to make it so you need both an Xbox and a PC to experience everything on their ecosystem, similarly to how Nintendo has merged home and portable console divisions.

And for all those of you who are talking about GamePass, all I can say is whoops? I don't have it or any interest in it, I just knew it existed. Didn't realize PC support for it was that poor though. So sounds like it's basically not on PC for all intents and purposes, since it's not worthwhile without and Xbox One as well.

Ubisoft's the best. Their presentations create an indescribable feeling with myself, that I don't understand.

EA were sort of good last year, what with a conference of about half and hour followed by half an hour of Battlefront 2 [which looked really cool then, but upon playing... yeah...]

I think the days of promising the next 2 years of releases at E3 is over. Too many delays, too many cancellations and too many other events elsewhere means that it isn’t sensible for a console maker to put too much stock in the event. Sony didn’t stretch themselves last year beyond telling us more about what we already knew (and a fair bit of that STILL hasn’t come out), Microsoft have doubled down on backwards compatibility to sure up where they cancelled almost everything, and Nintendo have pretty much kept their promises which were pretty modest.

What I expect from Ninty is more details on Smash, Fire Emblem, Mario Tennis, Yoshi (which I’m betting is Labo compatible) and Octopath Traveller, a partnership using their IP with a big name developer, one surprise returning game like Wave Race or Pikmin, one new IP maybe from Retro, and maybe Mario DLC. The other announced games like Cpt Toad, Crash, and Y’s will be shown in the treehouse along with a new 3DS game and those previously announced.

Then Bayonetta 3, Pokemon and Metroid which will all be 2019 will be shown off in October so to stretch out the news when were all moaning about having no new info.

@darkfenrir Thanks! Will do. Unless... you were... sarcastic?

@Ralizah Ah, okay. Pirates of the Caribbean must've turned you off, aye?
As for the latest game in the Assassin's Creed series: I highly suspect it is worth playing and it could be possible to jump into the series from there. And it is true what @NEStalgia said that it is being praised as a mix between a return to it's premiun form and BotW, so that sounds really good to me.

But I haven't played it yet, though. And the thing with Assassin's Creed is that overall, it is a real series, not just separate games, so I don't know how much of the main story line you won't get if you just jump in anywhere. But perhaps that can be solved by watching game movies on YouTube so you can get the story so far...

Either way, I still think it's a great series, even though it did have some hits and misses, like I said earlier.

@NEStalgia I've got nearly all the games, so I would be a supporter of the series, wouldn't I? I most definitely recognize its faults, but I'm still happy I played the games for the most part. And back in the day, the original was breath taking and innovative, and I was having a blast walking and riding around in ancient Jerusalem.

As for Games with Gold: No Syndicate for me. Probably has to do with region, I guess. This is what we got over here this month:

@YummyHappyPills Yep, that's a pathetic list to say the least. Not worth buying an new PC for...

@link3710 Are you running your old games natively or are you using Virtual Machines? The latter might solve a lot of problems. The initial setup can be a drag, but once done, it should work for all games. And for the REALLY old games, there's of course DOSBox. Just a few options for you to consider...

@ThanosReXXX Nah lol, the games might be not interesting for me (my taste tend to lean to Japanese style or indie style), but everyone has their own likes and dislikes

Really do mean it haha. I know for sure that I'm liking a lot of what Microsoft is doing with Xbox (especially that BC!), and hope that they can drag Xbox out of the kinda-bad-rep it has with titles! :0

(Looked for a second for some Xbox games)
You know, i rolled my eyes quickly whenever i saw Edgy looking games like that. 🙄

Games like that will working for typical mainstream gamers, but will Not working at all for me.

No good deed
Will I do
AGAIN...!!!

@darkfenrir Sorry for kinda/possibly misinterpreting then. Sometimes you just don't know anymore and even with smileys it's still possible to not get what people are trying to convey.

As for E3: I think they will simply HAVE to succeed and come out firing, or else all future Xbox One/Two titles will be completely moved to PC, and not just the ones that are now already available on PC.

But, after having seen that video I posted earlier, I'm quite confident that they'll at least have a solid E3, and perhaps they will even have a few other surprises up their sleeve...

darkfenrir

@ThanosReXXX It's alright, I understand how it can be misinterpreted.

I hope that everyone will come out great for this E3, all three having good time makes it even better for gamers xD (although rip wallet)

Octane

@Ralizah There's four of them, right? Asylum, City, Origins and Knight. And hey, the Wii U got Origins, so whenever I get around to play them, my Wii U gets some use as well!

I've heard Rise of the Tomb Raider is also structured like a Metroidvania, but some say the story isn't as good. We shall see. All of those games are rather cheap anyway. I'm going to finish Bloodborne first, then I'll give Batman and Tomb Raider a try.

Octane

ThanosReXXX

@Octane The Wii U also got Arkham City, so there's two Batman games on there. And Arkham City was the enhanced Armored Edition. Made pretty good and innovative use of the Game Pad in my opinion...

@ThanosReXXX Well, you know, I've never watched a Pirates of the Caribbean movie, either.

Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)

Last year at E3
Sony shows realistic tree and skin textures - crowd goes wild.
Microsoft talks teraflops - crowd goes wild.
Nintendo show Mario possessing enemies - crowd goes wild.

This year.
Sony will show realistic eye detail.
Microsoft talks pixel count.
Nintendo introduces reversals (or something) to Smash.

@ThanosReXXX There's a remastered bundle of City and Asylum available as well (I believe), I was thinking about getting that one instead. It's the only way I can play Asylum anyway... Well, I guess it's on PC, but mine doesn't even have a disc drive, and I'm not a big fan of digital!

@ThanosReXXX Yeah, I've been trying to get it up and running natively. Though I just found out they're rereleasing all Myst games with native Windows 10 support in a new kickstarter, so I might just wait for that?
