@Grumblevolcano I think we can still count on EA to port madden...it will be legacy of course and the rest of the sports games will be DOA. Although since everybody is porting items to the switch it would be nice to see the ME trilogy ported and maybe most of the DA games. Sure it is old stuff but EA isn't trying to bring in the new, and the skyrim enthusiasm means there is potential for people to jump on this. While I mod both series and TES I wouldn't mind double dipping for the portability and I think origins would lend well to the switch.
I just want ubi to say they killed the always online requirement for steep. If they are dumb enough to make a portable game that relies on wifi to be maintain an constant internet connection, steep is going to bomb because its part brick.

Honestly thinking we'll see 2-3 new reveals max from each of the big 3 this year. That includes Forza 7 and Mario + Rabbids for Microsoft and Nintendo respectively.
Microsoft I think needs quite a few big exciting surprises though. If it's like 90% Scorpio I think quite a few people will be disappointed in their showing.
Sony on the other hand I think will be Sucker Punch's new game, a From Software exclusive, and Capcom's big game (either DMC5 or an exclusive Monster Hunter). They don't really need to reveal a whole lot.
@IceClimbers I don't think it's another DMC game, Ninja Theory openly said the chances of another game are slim (sales weren't great apparently), and it was up to Capcom to decide if they're going to continue the franchise. Meanwhile, Capcom has commented that they want to expand MH in west, because the handheld sales were a limiting factor for the franchise to grow. Based on their sales projections, the unannounced game will be bigger in scope than RE7 (4 million sales). And recently we had that rumour that said the PS4 will get an exclusive MH title, it was from the same leaker that leaked MHXX for Switch (that wasn't too difficult to predict though). Anyway, it adds up I think. I think there's a reasonable chance the game will indeed be a Monster Hunter game for consoles (possibly PS4 exclusive).
@Octane Agreed. Personally I just want to see the meltdowns after that's announced. Either from Nintendo fans or from Sony fans when it's not a traditional MH and a heavily westernized one instead.
@Tsurii That was a separate leak according to the internet, but from the same source. Anyway, that wasn't the best piece of evidence either, I just felt I had to mention it. Disregarding the leak, I still think it could be possible based on what Capcom said and what their expectations are.

Though, regarding that leak, the Reddit post got the name right but regarding pronunciation, it referred to it as Monster Hunter Cross Cross. As we know, the official name is MH Double Cross. It could be that it is someone that saw the marketing material, as it got the name right but not that tiny detail.
Plus, then it goes into outright weird territory - supposedly, Sony moneyhatted MH5 to not have it published on Switch (but it can be published on Xbox) and the intention is to win back Japan.... and Capcom agreed to make MH5 into a streamlined, westernized version not made by the main team. The main team will develop MH5P for the Switch. So Sony paid a wash of cash to recover Japan and they get a dumbed down version focused on the west?
Makes me distrust that rumor, at least. I think it is far more likely that Capcom will bring back DMC than risk MH like that.
@Luna_110 The fact that it's contradictory and makes no sense is what makes it believable. Doing something that stupid that strains their relationship with both Sony and Nintendo while essentially giving the MH team the shaft sounds exactly like something Capcom would do.
Does anyone know if Nintendo of Japan does a separate video each E3? Because if they do, the might show less if Nintendo of America is set to make localization announcements for things like DQ Heros I&II, DQ XI that have already been announced for the Japanese market.
Hmm...well, this is an interesting turn of events. Youtube's already went off the rails when they heard it'd be 30 mins...some of these guys are going to have a stroke when they hear this. Still, I don't think this is a cause for concern yet. We'll just have to see what they announce.
I was just starting to come around to it being only 30 minutes long.Now it's possibly even shorter.Hopefully it will just be packed with 2 to 3 minute trailers and a sizzle reel with the rest left up to the Treehouse team,even Mario Odyssey.
Yeah... Something tells me that the name change from "Digital Event" to "Spotlight" actually meant something... in that they'll put the spotlight on just a couple games (Super Mario Odyssey, Mario + Rabbids, FE Warriors, Xenoblade 2).
If it's just 25 minutes without any surprises they're going to get slaughtered online for it.There is nothing surer than that.However if it's 25 minutes packed with trailers and 2 or 3 big surprises on top then it can still be a memorable show.I don't think there's going to be much complaints about it being too short if it features something like Metroid or F-Zero.
Does anyone really care about all the fluff in between game reveals at every Sony and Microsoft shows?Surely everyone just wants to see the games and with actual gameplay instead of cutscenes?With only 25 minutes to play with,there will be no time for any of that in Nintendo's show.At least I hope there's not
@IceClimbers True but it's been known about for so long now,even though it was just a rumour until recently.I'm hoping Nintendo realise this alone won't cut it anymore as the big surprise and add in something else they weren't planning to show off.
