Topic: A Weird Idea I had..

Imagine this for a trailer... Mario is racing down a speedway in a generic pipe kart that looks like Mario Circuit 1 from the original Super Mario Kart and it seems to be an ordinary Mario Kart race with graphics that look better than MK8.
Suddenly a bolt of blue light comes down the raceway, Mario and all the racers stop to watch and are hit by the bolt and lose coins. Suddenly the flash of light crosses the raceway and the footage is slowed down soon afterwords and reveals that it was the Blue Falcon. Cut inside to the Blue Falcon and Captain Falcon who says “Oh Yeah!
True gameplay is now shown and it is shown to be much more than MK8 DLC or MK9, but a new F-Zero game!. Gameplay is shown and introduces new stages and character along with returning ones spliced with CGI cutscenes that show a story mode.

I was thinking the next Mario Kart games should have a Transform Gauge which the vehicles can transform into different vehicles. For example, a Buggy car can transform into a motorbike or a Motorbike can transform into a mini aeroplane. Also, there are some flying vehicles like Magic carpet or Dragon (Like on Chocobo Racing).

@Mrtoad That'd be pretty neat, not gonna lie. But if I am honest, I still prefer my idea for a Mario Kart 9, that is, in effect, a "Super Smash Kart". It would dwarf all previous MK titles, having more racers, karts, tracks than any previously. It would be the Smash Ultimate of Mario Kart, with a cast of characters like Smash, there would be at least one track for every franchise represented. Unlockables would be aplenty. Inculding gimmicks, like Sonic running instead of driving.

Another even more unlikely scenario that I would like to see would be a crossover between Mario Kart, Crash Team Racing and Team Sonic Racing.
