@Mr. DSi: That doesn't mean anything. Heat beat the Celtics at the end the season by 20+ points. That Celtics team is vulnerable without Kendrick Perkins.
@Mr.DSi 20+ points is a lot, but lets not forget that the C's beat the Heat by that much once or maybe twice in their 3 wins against them, and that was without Perk. Jermaine O'Neal has been rolling and Shaq should return by then so everything should be well by the Heat game. And if the Celtics play anything like they did tonight against the Heat it should be a clean sweep against them. I'm not getting my hopes up, but if the C's can repeat the game they performed tonight or even play 75% as good as they have tonight in the next (and hopefully last) game, then things should get back on track for the team. I like this poll ESPN has: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/fp/flashPollResultsState?sport... Never knew there were that many Heat fans in Idaho.
Jermaine O'neal isn't Perkins, and Shaq isn't expected to be back anytime soon. Lets not forget that they barely beat an injured Knicks team in games 1&2. (Game 3 was more of bad defense from the Knicks and Carmelo not making anything, but Boston did play well in that game.)
@WhoKnew Injured? They were only missing Billups and two back-ups that don't usually do anything. The only people I see on that team are Anthony and Stoudemire. Billups was good, but he's getting up there. I mean, Anthony and Stoudemire are really the only ones who do anything on that team, they scored 2/3 of the team's score tonight combined. And in game three Anthony had 15 points and 11 rebounds, that's not what I'd call "not making anything." Lets face it, the Knicks are a two man team, and when you only have a two man team, if one of them plays bad or even just decent, ya' ain't gonna win nothin'. .
@Ballkirby 15 points and 11 rebounds isn't good for Melo, who shot 25% from the field and came of a 42 point performance the game before. Someone had to step up, and Melo couldn't do it in game 3. Not to mention Amare's back was still sore and was a no factor in games 2 and 3. And you can't count out Billups who is a veteran and a Finals' MVP with years of playoff experience. The point-guard is the leader of the floor. And don't expect the Celtics to roll over the the Heat in the next round. All the 3 Boston wins in the regular season were close ones, and both teams are different now roster wise.
Right now I'm rooting for Miami and Chicago, but don't really care who wins this year. Just as long as it not the Lakers.
I do think Billups is good, but he is way out of his prime. Would of having Billups help the Knicks in games 3 and 4. Would he have helped the Knicks get out of the large point differences they were in, take the lead, and take the lead? Billups a few years ago certainly, Billups this year most likely not. I didn't know about Amare's back hurting him though, I guess that explains the two miserable games he played. Any way, I think the C's have a strong chance again now that it appears their defense is back on track. As long as they don't allow the Heat (Unless Philly pulls a miracle) to gain a large, early lead, the should do just fine seeing that the Heat can't pull through in close game situations, as seen today.

Yeah the Heat is the worst team when it comes to games that are decided by 5 or less points and the Celtics improved a lot both in the defensive and offensive ends.
Yeah, the Spurs season is over. They just couldn't pull it together in the Playoffs which is disappointing because they were doing so well in the regular season. I knew they were in trouble after losing the first game. Oh well, the Grizzlies were amazing and they deserve a lot of credit for how well they played. I'm actually pulling for them to win the whole thing now. Just as long as it isn't the Lakers again.
