@RupeeClock yes, it's all down to them — I'll flag this with them if its not resolved tomorrow.

@Pastellioli in the past we've done code giveaways, where say a developer gives us 100 codes for a game. When we give them appear in a competition/giveaway they appear in your user account there.

@antdickens That’s cool! Thanks for your answer.

I have an idea: you know how on Nintendo Life and it’s sister sites (Pure Xbox, Push Square, and Time Extension) there is a heart button you can use at the bottom of the article to like it? I think it would be cool to give users a private page they can look at (maybe in the “my account” page) that lists the articles that they liked in the past so that they can revisit and reread them, sort of similar to how there’s a private page that lists the articles the user commented on in the past across all Hookshot sites.

@Pastellioli I wonder how many people use the heart . I had literally never noticed it until you mentioned it just now; it's kind of hidden below the related links and well above the comments.

That said, some way to 'favorite' articles would be nice.

@FishyS I have used the like button a few times on articles I like. Most of the time the like button is at zero probably from how overlooked it is, or it only has a few likes. I did recently use the like button on an N64 article but it did make me think that it would be cool to see the like history I had on some articles aside from that. I know I have liked a few other articles in the past, but I’m sure I forgot which ones.

@antdickens
I was eventually able to make a successful order on the Codes site, but there were a lot of hurdles to get past.
The main issues seemed to be that it may not like Firefox, and that the checkout process will fail if you're currently logged into a Google account (even if you did not log in using Google SSO).
There seems to be issues with the Google Pay integration if you try that method too.

I'm glad I was ultimately still able to place that order and get my eShop funds, but there's a lot of technical issues that most users wouldn't know how to work around.

Is there any way to change it so we see what comments we have given hearts to? If you ever come back to the same article you can't tell if you've given a heart or not and if you forget you end up removing the heart instead of giving one. This happens a lot in articles which are republished and in the articles like 'what games are you playing this weekend' which people might look at two days in a row. It happens to me a lot and by observing the hearts people give me it clearly happens to other people a lot as well.

I realize this is really in the weeds and not super important.

Second related suggestion: Can it be changed so that you can give a heart in the comments section of a user's profile? You actually used to be able to but it changed a few months ago. Now if you try to heart a comment, instead of giving a heart it moves you to the top of the profile for some reason.

(If it makes a difference, this is all on mobile).

@FishyS No, I do have issues like that too. Sometimes I like a comment, forget, I see it again, choose to heart it and them realize I removed a like. I think it would be nice if there was an indicator or list of comments you liked. I think an easy indicator would be to have the comments you liked have a heart colored pink, and the ones with no likes gray. I think the heart does turn pink when you like a comment, but it turns to gray when you go back to it. The same applies to articles.

@Pastellioli If you see the heart count drop when you click it, then you know you already liked it, and you can re-click the heart to put it back.

@antdickens Posting more than 1 video in a comment seems to break the video sizing after the first. For example I posted these 2 videos in the Splatoon 3 thread:

Is anyone able to tell me the e-mail address for the letters page?

I think I found the right place on the form. Hopefully they like my letter.

@FishyS Eventually you will be able to see your likes after a page refresh, but not sure when I'll get around to that. I have however fixed it so you can 'Like' again directly from a user profile page.

@Grumblevolcano thanks for the spot, that has been fixed!

@Mana_Knight glad you found it, yep it's an option on the contact form.

Maybe have a popup that tells you what a comment is replying to. That's something that makes getting contextualized on comments easier to respond with better clarity instead of making getting clarity feel like work...

Samalik

@CaleBoi25 As long as it works, because reply tracking is pretty messy on this site as is, and has been for a long while.

The New Denpa Men thread is looking kind of weird for me.

Untitled

I can see the entire page response written in plain text above the page, but so far it only happens in that thread.

Edit: the problem went away today.

Is anyone else seeing an ad for a Starship Troopers game which if you scroll down the page the ad follows you rather than only being visible at the top of the page?
