Topic: Feedback about new layout/UI

When the layout changed some months ago, I didn't particularly like the change. I tried to give it some time, but I never really adjusted. Before I knew it, my daily visits to Nintendo Life turned into visits once a month, if that. I only realized how jarring the UI is after visiting Push Square today. I never frequented Push Square, but seeing the old layout reminded me of how well done it was, and how much I dislike the new UI. I'm having trouble pinpointing my dislikes, but I will try to outline them so that I can actually be constructive.

1. Everything feels "too big". The pictures, the sections for each article, everything. It particularly feels too wide, which may contribute to my dislike of the UI more than anything else.
2. Having different size pictures in the Featured/Trending/etc. section is jarring.
3. There is no preview text. In the old layout, the first paragraph in an article was displayed on the home page, which was very helpful in deciding whether to read an article.
4. No pages. By not having pages, you can lose your place, particularly if you reload the page.

If the new layout for Nintendo Life was a beta test (since Push Square hasn't updated), I think the old layout was much better. If this is the layout of the future, then I hope some of my feedback can be taken to find a better balance between the old layout and the new one.

Thanks!
