So I had a slight brain fart, and made this puzzle. After completing it, I realized that "Licensed Game" teeeeechnically refers to games made using elements from existing franchises not created or published by the developer of the hardware it is being played on. I then realized this most specifically refer to things like Ninja Turtles games or Disney games etc.
BUT, TECHNICALLY Solomon's Key for the NES is "licensed" by Nintendo, as it was a pre-existing arcade game not developed by or published by them. So hopefully you guys will accept my horribly flimsy logic and let me submit this puzzle. I really like how it turned out!
@Bazly - What "licensed game" means to me is a game involving copyrighted material not owned by the developer, which doesn't describe Solomon's Key. But what the heck, I'll take it. You're technically correct, and your heart's in the right place.
Okay, uh... I think the lack of votes is partly my fault this time. Totally slacked off there. So I'm gonna give this two more days - again - since it was a short voting period anyway. And I promise to actually vote soon.
Oh poop! My apologies - I've been working for five days straight - two more to go before I get two days off. So this also completely slipped my mind. Though I'm voting for Zyrac's!
The next theme is Two-Tone, meaning your entry must use only two colours, as in two spaces on the palette. This was a cool idea when bboy2970 came up with it for the Pullblox contest, but I think it'll work better for this game. You have until 11:59PM on Wednesday 22nd May to enter.
Well this worked out very well, I am pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure if this is actually "5 star" worthy, but when you play it, let me know what you think!
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
I don't have an entry yet, and unfortunately may not. I've been visiting the parentals and aside from this, right now, have not been using a computer at all. I'll se what I can get done by Wednesday, but I honestly have been enjoying my temporary disconnect from the internet. It's been refreshing. And has given me tons of time to marathon the Scibblenauts games, which I just bought .
Also, Scribblenauts should totally be our next theme!
Is it the 20th already? Time sure flies when you're not making an entry. Anyway, I thought it would be fairly tough to come up with something for this theme, but then I just drew some shapes on top of each other and somehow it worked really well.
@DarkCoolEdge Before you can share your level you have to beat it - not in test mode, but after selecting it in Fallblox Studio. Then the QR Code button will be selectable.
As for my vote... it's a tough one. But while MasterWario deserves credit for making something I have no freaking clue how to beat, I ultimately feel inclined to vote for iphys's entry. Simple design that's fun to play and isn't as easy it looks. Good job.
Having solved them all, I'm going to vote for the Slime, because the design is very clever and it looks cool aesthetically. I'd say it's a 4 or 5-star difficulty: it's not the sort of solution people are likely to get just tinkering around, but if you analyze it for a couple minutes there aren't a lot of ways to deal with getting to the top section so it sort of directs you toward finding the solution. The whole thing just seemed pretty genius how everything managed to work together so well as I was doing it, and I'd say it's a lot better than some of the crashmo Nintendo gave us.
Aaand we all have one vote. One could say that nobody wins, or that everyone wins. It's not really important, is it?
For our next theme... uh, let's go with Hardware. I keep forgetting to decide on these in advance. Well, don't forget to enter by 11:59PM BST on Wednesday 12th June.
I gotta try to, like... not half-kill myself making things like this. I was attempting to squeeze every last drop of challenge out of this design, which isn't a very healthy attitude. Anyway, here's what I ended up with, hope you like it. (I'm not sure about the difficulty rating.)
