the coolest thing would be

dual(2) multi-touch widescreens, acceleromiter, 2 analog nubs and analog triggers, 3D (DUH), sensing on the hinge angle, 5.0 MP cameras, video cameras, being really big, (this one with spit) awesome colors, and anything else cool

Aside from what's been announced - touch screen (hopefully multitouch), accelerometer, widescreens, and I think an analog nub/stick of some kind, and probably cameras as well (though I don't really care about those) all I want is:

1) DSiWare transfer
2) Virtual Handheld

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

A better web browser and a brand new intuitive User Interface (instead a single line of blocks, it should have multiple layers.) Fingerprint-repellent surface (if that's even possible?) Ultra--loud speakers, Virtual Console/Handheld, A beefier processor, accelerometer, better pixel density (i don't really care much about graphics but this will be a nice bonus.)

TheBeyond

Backwards compatibility with DS games.

I want All-Stars for VC.

I disagree with the dual analog sticks. I don't think they would work well on a handheld.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

Me too. The only things I wish the 3ds would have are better graphics and some way transfer dsiware titles, if you also owned a dsi.

I think at least one stick would be great, remember Mario 64?

I think it would be cool if it had one analog stick and also kept the D-pad, but two analogs would be kind of awkward. And yeah, I'll be really mad if I can't transfer my DSiWare games. I want them to make the touch screen more like the iPhone's, and the I hope the graphics are astronomically better.

Larger screens, like DSi XL/LL. Maybe a Google or Mozzila browser(Which also want for DSi).

A more interactive personalized Pictochat that can connect with friends over Wi-Fi, maybe some kind of club.

Video/Web Cam, Connectability of Cam App to other websites, besides Facebook.

I've seen quite a bit about analog sticks, what about more of a ball thats somewhat like a stick.

Pretty much everything that has been said.

If they made the DS's touchscreen like the iPhone's that would mean that the DS's screen would be capacitive and we will not be able to use a stylus for gameplay since capacitive screens respond to electricity.

this is srsly true.
If I can not switch my DSiWare Games to the new System I would be really angry.
I bought stuff for like 40 bucks. but on my old DS they would feel kind of lost :>

Virtualehandheld is something I am waiting for loooongtime!

I think it should feature "2D". ;^) But seriously, I'm looking forward to the 3DS and hoping they are going to do something fun with the 3D. I also hope that it doesn't cost any more then the DSi. Any more and I don't know if I'm going to be buying one.

I still want a long battery life, like the DS Lite (the DSi's is acceptable too). I will not accept a short battery life in exchange for big improvements. It's meant to be portable.

I agree with Token Girl,

DSiWare transfer and Virtual Handheld.

It's going to be hard to get me to buy a whole new handheld system if both of these features are missing. Although only having the Virtual Handheld would be a definite buy for me.

DSiware transfer, Virtual Handheld

An easier way to adjust the system settings such as brightness without having to go to the main menu, more storage space, more interactivity with the console (Wii, Wii2, etc.)

You can adjust the brightness anytime by pressing select and volume buttons. There other ones too, like in game touch screen calibration, and game restart too, the restart one is select+start+l&r buttons. Someone posted this before. Idk the other ones...

Oh, that's nice. Well, they should keep that for the 3DS
