When I get this game, I'm going to make a simple platformer called Stride.
[/div]
I also have ideas for a simple platformer as well, I don't have a name for mine yet.
EDIT: I'd also love to remake Mike Wiering's Mario DOS game but that would take an incredible amount of time to the point that someone else will beat me to it.
@turtelink Yes, but I'm not musically inclined, so I'll just go with the music they give us. Oh, and some of the sound effects are pretty neat too: there's a dog bark and a cat meow, which I can just imagine doing something hilarious with.
I got it......I has confusion. I have literally no experience with coding and this is really straining me to try and understand the simplest of things. I hate it because I really wanna code SOMETHING!
I'm defintiely tempted to get this, if only to re-live my days of fiddling with Basic Programming on the Atari 2600 and writing basic text adventure games on the Apple II.
BASIC was a bit before my time, but I feel inclined to learn how to code with it, using PC tools of course.
.
The first thing I managed to do is run the calculator, and divide 42 into 0.
It crashed the program beautifully.
I am the forever lurker.

Sweet! Check out the links and discussion here: http://forums.penny-arcade.com/discussion/163869/petit-comput...
Highlights include links to a free graphics set based on (ahem stolen from) Advance Wars and a video of a killer synthesizer made in Petit Computer.
The more of see of what Japanese gamers have already created, the more convinced I am that anyone can get good value from Petit Computer just by experimenting with the programs shared online via QR codes. Crazy stuff.
is there a way to see the source code of the preinstalled programs? i think that would help me a lot more than anything else, lol.

All the included programs, even the important ones, are made with Basic and are treated as any other program you download or write. You can even edit them if you want to.
The 3D dungeon game even includes "You" in the credits as "the person who will make this game better".
@Morphtroid: that wasn't really my question, but i figured it out on my own. Thanks anyway :3

@theblackdragon, why would you want to see the pre-installed source codes? Were you going to try and manipulate the codes, or were you just going to try and mirror them in your own fashion?
