Opinion on downloading "legal roms" - Nintendo DS, DSi & DSiWare Forum

On YouTube is one guy who pretends to be "the ultimate Pokémon news source on YouTube" called giancarloparimango11 he brought some updates about Pokémon Heart Gold/Soul Silver and even got enough people to pre-order the games from Play-Asia so he would get the 2 games for free (if I understood correctly) When I checked out his channel today I was stoned when I noticed that he already started a walktrough of Pokémon HG yesterday, even though the games were not even out in Japan yet After doing a little research (not really a research, was pretty obvious) I found out that this guy is using leaked roms and a flash cart in order to be able to play the games on his DS He said in another video of his that it was legal because he already ordered the games, but afaik it isn't legal to use roms, regardless if you own the game or not So I called him out for the douchebag he was IMO and eventually I got attacked by some guys calling me bad names because they thought he did the right thing I know it's a long back story, but now I wanna hear your opinions on this Do you think you have the right to download the roms of a game if you pre-ordered it? What do you think about this?
