Topic: Japanese DSi won’t play certain game but Japanese DSi XL will.

It’s “Mario VS Donkey Kong: March of the Minis”. I happen to have two copies of the game but neither will read on my DSi. I’ve made sure the game is pushed down all of the way and the cartridges and cartridge slots free of dust but still…nada.

Any ideas why? Japanese DSi XL has no issues, as mentioned above.

Have you tried any other games on the DSi?

Yes and they’re fine.

Hmm, that's odd. Might be some kind of inherent issue with the software that makes it incompatible with that particular console, but I've no idea what that could be.

I have even tried to update the DSi to see if that causes it but can’t do that either.

Hmm, that's weird. Try cleaning out the contacts in the console. Then try inserting the game again.
